No. Don't bother repeating yourself. I don't much like the way Israel has handled the indigenous people who's land they were given, and who's land they continue to steal. Palestine has been mightily screwed by Israel with the help and encouragement of the U.S. If I am wrong, show me where I'm wrong and I will apologise.

The Palestinians have been mightily screwed by Canada as well, a nothing nation of camp followers Juan that's all Canada is these days.

It's funny how if you are not a staunch supporter of Isreal, you are anti-semitic. The UN should have demanded that Israel get out of Palestinian land. There were about a hundred UN resolutions but most if not all were vetoed by the U.S.

That's mostly because all the staunch supporters of Israel have are labels, names and distain to hit with. Facts really aren't on their side. The truth lays somewhere near the middle ... and that might involve compromise.

Why?

It never was Palestinian Land. If you want to get serious a moment, when the UN refused to enforce its original partition (especially the bit about Jerusalem) it lost all moral authority in the matter.

Quite frankly nobody wants to die to deal with that hellhole with the exception of two bunches of recent immigrants claiming it as their ancestral home.

Whose land was it and why was it known as Palestine?

Woof!

Well, it was British and Ottomen land before that (and then series of Egyptian, Crusader, Arab, Byzantine and Old Roman before that).

You also have it backwards.

They aren't called Palestinians throughout history, they were called Arabs previously. They call themselves Palestinians now, to assert their claim to Palestine.

A hundred years ago they were called just called Arabs (or Turks or Jews) who lived in the region of Palestine in the Ottoman Empire.

I should point out the region of Palestine also included well into Jordan (Amman) and parts of Lebanon.

A lot of those Arabs had lived on that land, now called Palestine, for twelve hundred years. I have quite an old atlas that shows a country called Palestine. The Palestine that was divided for the Jews was certainly called Palestine and at the time, the Arabs outnumbered the Jews by a wide margin in that country. Did you know that Palestinian refugees outnumber Jordanians in Jordan?

A pity that the entire nation of Germany couldn't have been ceded to the jewish after the war. After all,it was Germany & its leadership that caused all the trouble to begin with.

I suggest we all pack it up in the Americas and head back to wherever our ancestors came from, and we can leave it all to the indigenous peoples. This is what everyone is suggesting, right?

No. Pogroms began way before Germany even became a nation, going back to before the Crusades.

I agree with you, missile!! Why didn't the allies think of that? It would have been a piece of cake in 1945. Germany surrendered unconditionally... anything could have been done to that nation.
What a shame they lost that chance. But I hear they are doing pretty good in Germany anyway. No German dares say anything the least offending, or else he lands in jail!

Rudolf Hess was the guy who tried to negotiate a peace treaty with England, but got jailed for that until he died in prison.

I suppose the UN could partition the US Mandate of Iraq and give half to Palestinians as a homeland and compensation for 60 years of oppression and injustice.

If you -meaning YOU - just came over and demanded a native stand aside so you could settle? (Native as in a person who was born in-country) Yes. Go back from whence you came. Though my great-great grandfather may have some owning up to do, that does not concern me.

No I don't mean me, but the rationale of the argument from what I see is going enough back in history to justify ones position. It makes sense to go all the way back and apply everywhere in the world, no?

Only if you have lost something tangible. If all you have lost are what exist in legends, then you have lost nothing - exactly what you are entitled to claim.

Several million square miles of North America seems pretty tangible to me.

And if anyone who walked those lands, hunted those forests or fished in those waters want to file a claim, they'd have every right to do so. Suceeding generations have lost nothing real for how can one lose what one never actually breathed, drank, ate or held in one's hand? Only a fool can put a price on a spirit.

Israel....Sold Too Short.....

IMPHO-BFEs---
Enough has been said and written and downloaded about this.
Useless tripe.
Israel is the most advanced in every area concerning the Middle East and other countries that would see them destroyed. This will never happen, not again.
They have the most advanced intelligence services, the most advanced military equipment and stolen stealth technology.
They are operating covertly in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq and other countries that would do them harm.
Go to Tel Aviv and tell them what to do. Good luck if they do not lock you up and toss the key.
So Iran has a standing army of what four or five million, big deal.
If Israel wants to put you out of commission they will and you will be no more than a second thought, if that.
Rather than believing what you think to be true, face reality and deal with it.
Yet this appears too difficult a task for you so the story never ends and saying that you are wrong about this is not in your vocabulary. I find this vulgar and sickening.
Get a life and focus on your true responsibility which if you do not know, is your homeland.
