Do you know why that is Cliffy?

Complacency.

Pure and simple. People have become so lazy, that complacency is all that's left. The truth still exists, but you have to actually want to know the truth to find it. You won't find it in the news, that their brand of the truth. The lazy lap it up like a cat at a saucer of milk. You have to dig the truth out of the rubble.

Sometimes, even when the MSM have the truth, they fuk it up. Take for a simple example some of the photo's from Palestine, after the IDF retaliate against rocket attacks. In one series you can see a man digging a dead child from the rubble, in the next, you see the same man lying in the rubble, while the child he was digging is sitting there crying over him.

The MSM had this, but knew it wasn't going to get ratings, so they shelved it. People want rage or sorrow. Emotions sell air time.

This is the new war...
My old Cree teacher told me that a man's world is as far as he can walk in a day. That is the extent of my influence in the world. There is enough injustice and suffering within that distance to keep me busy all my life. To me what is going on out there is a distraction that keeps me from what I need to be doing in my life to alleviate the injustice and suffering around me.

Well said and thought provoking Cliffy.

Can I assume the two photo's came from the same patch of pictures?
In the real deaths nobody would be leaving anybody in a pile of rubble till the photographers showed up.

As true as your statement might be Cliffy that statement was most likely said in a time where they probably didn't hear much about the lands that were past the one day ride boundary. Today that could still hold true for who you can actually help (with your own hands), concerning events past that same distance (20mi) if people don't speak up then that is the same as cheering it on. If we call some of our past 'inhumane' we shouldn't be cheering the same actions when it happens in another part of the world. Without the voiced outrage over operation cast lead there would be no reason to stop that sort of attacks.

They supposedly came from two separate photographers. The series is at CAMERA's web site. Complete with documentation, right back to list and vetted eye witnesses from several aid groups.

You'ld be surprised.

Dosen't surprise me, they don't have the resources to wage real war so they have to manipulate the facts to get what they want.
I disagree. They may not have the quantity, nor quality of ordinance that the Israelis have. But as Israel proved in 48, that really makes no difference when push comes to shove and the outcome is truly your existence. You are write though, this is the battle of public opinion, in which the Palestinians are well ahead of Israel.

Mmm....never thought of it that way.

Very good point.

This has become a right and left issue for the most part and seems to me to have no middle ground except of course groups composed of both Palestinians and Israelis'.

Go figure.

You know, one day this will all end, and peace will be achieved. I actually hope I'm still alive to rejoice in it.

I recently watched a show on the history channel where they went through whole time-line of that region and while I share your hopes for the people there I have little hope of total peace.

Sad.

One reason I posted the Anti Apartheid Week -
Israel is losing the moral high ground the last straw for many was the Gaza WarAlso

Israel has to be willing to have a peace agreement - if it had one Hamas could be run out of the strip - Let Arab Soldiers bear the brunt of enforcing the Peace Agreement - See how they deal with Hamas -

Well it comes down to this

One side, knowingly or not would accept Genocide

The other side wants survival

Guess which is which?

Hard to say. There are good guys and bad on both sides. Hmmm... unless you meant that good Israelis and good Arabs just want survival, while the other Israelis and Arabs would accept genocide?

Now you are beginning to get it.
That would mean the photographer was the one trying to pass his photo's off as more than what they were. Perhaps they should be there when death is raining down from the skies rather than having to pay a few actors so his pictures will sell. That photo set wasn't used as proof to show that 1400 people were killed in Gaza.
