As it is I'm not saying it was their plan

MHz that changes completely the thrust of the original post..........there is a major difference between an act of kindness gone horribly wrong......and an attempt at genocide.

Oops not my fault if rockets are unguided.

"Hamas leaders say they did not target civilians while firing hundreds of rockets at Israeli towns, and that the rockets fired from Gaza were meant to hit military targets but hit civilians by mistake because they are unguided."

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, we will soon hear from those that actually believe stuff like this!

I said using small pox as a weapon was not their idea, I didn't indicate,in any way, that they were innocent of the knowledge that the blankets were infected when they were being handed out.
At least we agree that it was an act of genocide, now about the DU being carelessly being spread around in Iraq and Afghanistan and Gaza would also be an act of genocide. Ask any big wig in the US if they want DU material used to melt snow on their city streets. Same people family wise that thought up the small-pox epidemic as a solution to the land grab they had planned.

If you don't think DU is dangerous I could give you a link to an American military person who would differ and his credential would make him an expert on the subject.
Or I could just post some pics of new-borns from those places (and other places DU has been used). The question the family always asks first is "Is it normal?" The Christians of today certainly aren't picketing against unwarranted death and destruction and it it quite likely that most Christians in the US are somehow connected to the making of war machines and materials. If they aren't aware of the conflict (with the Bible) does that make them any less 'soiled' in that spreading of things that are 'good for the body' like food and water and clothing and a sturdy roof?
Start using that sort of measuring rod and you would lose more names off the "Christians Living in America" list that what would be left (just the picketing and the one who make or deliver the weapons).
Need I remind anyone that the Missionaries of those days were the ones who ran the schools for 'indoctrinating' Indian kids into the white man's ways, not such a successful program for the kids or their families.

How much was the IDF spending on catching/intercepting those rockets, just that aspect WP bombs do not help, nor does intense bombing of civilian areas count towards addressing just the rockets. Model rocketeers around here have bigger rockets that the ones coming out of Gaza. Most do not have explosives attached so unless it lands right on you life goes on for you. On the other-hand in Gaza you could be a block away from the bomb that hits the hospital and a large chunk of that building come crashing through their roof and lands on them killing them.
One is a WMD and the other is not.

So Israel is at fault for not investing billions in anti-rocket technology? It's their fault that these rockets are not being blown up after launch? Do you know the difference between anti-missle defense and anti-rocket defense? First off there is no defense against rockets except to blow up the launcher. It would be almost like trying to intercept an artillery shell.

What exactly is a WMD? Are you saying woolly peter (white phosphorus) is a WMD?

Model Rocketeers have bigger rockets around your area? Come on MHZ, why do you have to make such ridiculous statements like that?

Are we talking about Depleted Uranium now?
In a broader sense it was about making war against civilians, the blankets were an act of genocide, so is the use of DU It targets everybody, not just the ones capable of making it into battle. Women and kids were not considered as being 'spared' it was meant to kill them also, that might even be why the blanket idea was hatched in the first place. Before that they could run and hide quite easily.

DU poisons the ground for eons, what is it used for in the civilian part of America. Shouldn't it be used as the replacement for cutting edges on heavy equipment (ground to fine dust and blows around) or an ornamental key-chain that you carry close to your sperm

You give them billions/ year so it isn't like they are paying for anything themselves.
Mass destruction is not having something fall in a crowd and only taking out 1 person.

Now you are speaking from LaLa land. There is nothing that can be done to stop these rockets other than erecting a "Star Trek" type force field. The only way that Israel has to stop them is to carpet bomb a area, bring artillery down upon the area or physically go in and destroy them. All of these methods assume you know exactly where the rockets are coming from.

What exactly is a WMD?

Those examples you have shown are two totally different items, one is a model rocket and unguided manuf. rockets. (terror weapon)

DU is the perfect anti-tank weapon and will always be used. Nothing can pop the top off a tank or slice through an armored vehicle like DU. Reactive armor, sloped armor...it does not matter. The density of DU makes it a perfect projectile.

What does Canada use for anti-tank rounds?

Since 2002 18 Israelis have been killed by the "evil" rockets.

More kids went missing in Canada last night than have died by rockets in the past 8 years in Israel.

Peanut allergies have taken 2800 Iraeli lives in that time.

1 person to rockets for every 280 that die from peanuts.

What are the odds of living in an illegal settlement and a rocket hitting your shed versus being taken out by Mr Peanut?

We aren't giving them billions to waste on anti-rocket tech. The best anti-rocket tech is to kill the rocketeers.

Do you not see the difference in these two pics? I would also have to say the civillian is an advanced rocketeer and hardly the type of model rocket you pick up at the hobby store.

Oh but they should invest in a Star Trek shield instead of striking back.

The same with mortars. Israel should concern itself with intercepting mortar rounds in mid flight as opposed to retalliating.

That's a hobby shop rocket ES.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s new Chairman, Inez Tenenbaum, urged families today to put safety first during the Fourth of July holiday and celebrate with caution when it comes to fireworks. The latest report (PDF) from CPSC indicates that there were reports of seven fireworks-related deaths and an estimated 7,000 hospital emergency room treated injuries in 2008. In 2007, CPSC had reports of eleven deaths and an estimated 9,800 injuries.
11 deaths in one day from yanks playing with firecrackers versus 12 dead in 8 years by "Hamas' rockets.

I didn't mean to imply they weren't dangerous, it can be compared to using a sniper rifle when taking out a target in a crowded market rather than a 50cal machine gun with unlimited ammo. Little rocket/no warhead vs 500 HE bomb.

DU is the 21st Century small-pox blanket. Lets start with how long small pox was used in North America and apply it to the time to those places where DU was spread around starting about 10 yrs ago. 100 years from now is when the full extend of DU will be known.

A Global War on Terror

By A. G. SULZBERGERTina Fineberg for The New York Times Detail of a globe sold at Target stores that labels Israel as Palestine
Of all the slights that have stoked the outrage of vocal supporters of Israel, the one that prompted a makeshift protest in downtown Manhattan on Thursday is undoubtedly the smallest.
Israel, a nation that could easily fit inside New Jersey, is barely a speck on the aptly named Mini World Globe, a $1 novelty item sold at Target. The only indication on the baseball-size globe that a country is there at all is the accompanying type, which spills into the Mediterranean and through the bordering nations.
It says: Palestine.

Intentional or not, that label provoked Bob Kunst, who runs the Web site DefendJerusalem.net, and a handful of others to lead a protest at Zuccotti Park near ground zero that was heavy on the outsize language that defines so much of the dialogue surrounding the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. “The attack on Israel is happening on many fronts,” said Mr. Kunst, a Floridian who said he schlepped up to New York to publicize his concerns about the mini-globe.
Tina Fineberg for The New York Times Robert Kunst, president of Shalom International, holds a globe that labels Israel as Palestine.
He blamed Target, which he said failed to follow through on a promise this week to remove the item from its shelves.
He blamed Devrian Global Industries, the company that is listed as the manufacturer on the item’s box. (The company, which has been criticized before, did not respond to repeated requests for comment.)
He blamed China, the country where the globes are manufactured and one of more than 100 nations that recognizes the State of Palestine (the United States is not among them).
The list went on: President Obama, the United Nations, the European Union, Hamas, the liberals, the Muslims, the Nazis. Mr. Kunst warned that the Holocaust was continuing. He warned that the leaders in the United States cared only about helping terrorists. He repeatedly warned that Hamas, the militant Palestinian group, and Target, the American discount retailer, were engaged in a dangerous conspiracy.
Only a handful of passers-by stopped to listen. Some accepted informational fliers. Others shook their heads and walked off.
Amy Reilly, a spokeswoman for Target, noted that the name Israel did actually appear on the globe, tucked just above Antarctica along with 12 other small countries whose names were numbered on the map and listed separately because of space considerations, including the Netherlands, Croatia and Lebanon.
Nevertheless, Ms. Reilly said, Target had ordered stores to remove the item from shelves following a “small number” of complaints. Any remaining mini-globes brought to the register will automatically trigger a warning to prohibit the sale. “It is not our intention to offend any of our guests, and we apologize,” she said.
Asked whether Target was engaged in a conspiracy with Hamas, Ms. Reilly replied, “Absolutely not.”
