This quarrel has gone on for centuries, this is the longest family feud in history. yes they are
cousins as it is explained in the old testament. Both sides are to blame here without a doubt.
The gangs such as Hamas are continuing to stir up trouble both inside and outside Gaza.
There are rockets fired into Israel, and tanks blowing up houses in Gaza who wins from that?
No one and it will get worse. Israel is warning it will not have Iran with the bomb and of all the
nations Israel will nuke Iran if necessary which of course will plunge everyone into the third
world war. Pointing fingers might make us feel good, but it won't solve the problems the world
faces.

Northern Ontario,
The Israelis are not war criminals. They're on the FRONT LINES of Islamic terrorism and they reserve the right to defend themselves, just like anyone of us would.
Israel is surrounded by Muslims bent on destroying it...a show of weakness would get the same result as if you were surrounded by mad dogs and you dropped your stick and showed weakness....
You have to retaliate for every attack....or else....

I see a problem that involves both sides here and that is not anti Jewish. If I were anti Jewish
one of my Grand Daughters would not be happy with me.. I do think however the Israel could
have worked a little harder to achieve peace with some of it neighbours. In turn the neighbours
could have expelled their terror groups that hang around the boarder.
The problem is we are watching a buildup that is going to lead to war on a massive scale and
draw us into it even by happenstance.
We should all remember how we got into WWI Duke Ferdinand was murdered miles away from
German soil. The problem is the nations of Europe and indeed the world were drawn into the
conflict. The same could well happen here

I get it, can't throw your idogical friend under the bus..... proves my point actually, thanks JC.

Let me make this clear Junior Grasshopper .You asked for a yes or no. You missed the point that I do not know what you think. Go back to my posts with the qualifier Perhaps. But then again a closed mind is clearly showing. Along with the ability to misinterpret posts, given the opportunity to pause and think, you reject that.

It's a simple yes or no.

Do you think I hate jews?

back on topic.

A rocket from Gaza landed near Jerusalem today.

I watched the CBC news last night and they sort of covered the impact of this conflict on Israelis and Gazans. But the reporter created a perception (deliberately?) that the level of suffering was about equal on both sides, when it isn't.

Israelis only have to deal with Gaza rockets periodically. But Gazans have lived with the level of bombardment experienced currently by Israelis nearly constantly for over 6 years. It gets worse for Gazans when their war criminals fire back, but even when they don't, the barrage of Israeli missiles and rockets from Israel are part of Gaza's daily life. What Israelis currently experience now is not as bad as the typical daily experience of Gazans for over 6 years. Our news just doesn't report Israel's constant attacks against Gazans. Our MSM only notices when Gazans fire back and try to inflict the same as what they've been getting.

Portraying the situation between Gazans and Israelis as similar is a distortion. The reality of Gazans is much worse than anything experienced by Israelis. Gazans can't leave Gaza. Israel has destroyed their economy by halting bombing their industries and blocking Gaza exports Halting Gaza exports serves no military purpose and its sole purpose is collective punishment of ordinary Gazans. The point of Israel's blockade is to make life as miserable as possible in the hope that Gazans might blame their leaders, rather than the war criminals responsible.

If you want a first person account of life in Gaza, this article in today's Globe and Mail is bang on:
Israel's attack underlines helplessness, hopelessness of Gaza Palestinians - The Globe and Mail

I am not trying to minimize the impact of this current round of attacks on the lives of ordinary Israelis. No one should have to live in fear of missiles and rockets. But portraying the level of suffering on both sides as equivalent is manipulative BS. The Gazan experience on a good day is far worse than the Israeli experienced on a bad day. Its not too often that our news actually reports the Palestinian experience accurately, so I recommend the above Globe and Mail link
About 180 degrees off.

Emphasis mine.

And they're doing SFA to end it; instead they're doing all they can to escalate things and have since the start. Israel ended their excuse for Islamic Terrorism when they continually not only break the peace (same with the Palestinians; no one side is at fault in this), but when they OVER-friggin-react.

Sorry, but bombs from Gaza that kill a handful vs. a Tank or Air Strike that kill a dozen or more...

Neither side has the right to claim innocence, and I'll say it, there's just as much Israeli Terrorism going on as Islamic.
