What are you talking about, the Kurds have been a MOSSAD asset for a number of decades. Given protection from Damascus (and friends) they would switch sides in a heartbeat as well as them becoming the main Syrian player in a corridor that will be rich doe to oil and pipeline right of ways. Not to be outdone is the agriculture that Turkey could bring to a whole valley of a few rivers in the area, their reward as they seem to be high and dry when it comes to oil except as a transit nation and the EU will need a lot of NG when Russian lines open up in India and China the EU will need a news supplier and that is Iran.As long as they leave the Kurds alone it's Russia's problem, I would think they would prefer an American retaliation over a Russian response they should test both theories TBH
Slant drilling maps for the area might show some of the Arab States are bone dry and stealing from their neighbors will come to an end.
