Why are all the liberal rags rattling sabres for war?
don't think they are. They are merely reporting events as they learn about them.

I guess it comes down to how one "interprets" the information. If one labels information in terms of "Liberal........ or whatever........that suggests the slant of the poster.

The only ones that seem to be favoring a hard line military action.......are Bolton and his type. Even Trump is not promoting such action.....and apparently is miffed about Bolton et al being so openly aggressive. Or maybe Trump is miffed that Bolton stole Trump's thunder of threatening language.

I would imagine that the US Military is none too thrilled with the prospect of taking on a regional superpower like Iran. The pros are not stupid.

Especially with no clue of what "victory" is. Bolt-On seems to have forgotten that part.
You don't want to occupy Iran for a half an hour, even if there ever were some a chance of a "victory" that consists of more than an endless war of attrition with the whole Shiite world, that is.

Sounds like fun.

Glad I'm out. Desert Storm was the last smart thing we did in the ME, and I was proud to be part of it.

So why report it as Trump sending 120,000 troops instead of one of the options on the table if Iran escalates it's aggression?

Because the only ones being aggressive is the United States of Aggression. Iran has not attacked anybody. This whole shamozel smacks of the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Just another false flag... coming up.

Are you including Iran's proxies in your evaluation Cliffy? Actually Iran should show their strength against the US and fire 1 missile at the US carrier or by the Hezbollah at the new US consulate in Jerusalem.

You mis-spelled 10,000 in your evaluation?? Must suck that Iran can tap targets in Syria yet any attack on their launch platforms would be considered to be 'an act of war against Iran' so Israel and NATO will so fuk all. I assume a large desertion/surrender will be coming to the area soon, Yes?? The Kurds will save all the paperwork for Damascus and the court cases that will hake up a decade or so afetr the reconstruction ends.
Busy days ahead.

John Bolton

This whole Iran thing has John Bolton written all over it. John Bolton is incompetent. As UN Ambassador he fostered a reputation for kiss up, kick down leadership and promoting a swaggering, reckless global American bully boy. He was instrumental in scripting the rationale of GWB’s invasion of Iraq, as a fight against fictional WMDs, which destabilized the entire region and which reverberates to this day.

Now he is now on some quixotic fight against Venezuela and Cuba in a reemergence of America’s paternalistic Monroe Doctrine sphere of influence in the Americas which likewise has produced nothing but disorder and tyranny over the decades in the fight against 'communism'.

He is sabre rattling for a completely contrived confrontation with Iran, which would prove to be every bit as disastrous as the Iraq fiasco. This is not what Trump promised in a nationalistic foreign policy during his campaign.

He’s under the influence of Bolton, Pompeo and Jared Kushner. The latter is from a family of radical Zionist NYC activists in the Middle East with respect to promoting a ‘Greater’ Israel. Which seems to be driving the 'Trump Doctrine' in the Middle East now.

He’s getting lousy advice. He needs a shakeup in his foreign policy apparatus.

It gives the US a reason for not sending them against Venezuela and that is why the Israeli troops are going to the area instead. They will be the support the 2 Dutch owned islands needs to exert the control they need to on Central and South American 'assets'. Lose the roll of the dice and they lose the whole area.

I would think if Cuba was going to surrender she would have already in the 70 years since she declared herself to be free of US domination.

As long as they leave the Kurds alone it's Russia's problem, I would think they would prefer an American retaliation over a Russian response they should test both theories TBH
