Is the Breivik right regarding the growing Muslim threat?

Are Muslims a threat to our way of life and democratic institutions?.

BTW, I read this:

Daniel Pipes
Norway's Terrorism in Context :: Daniel Pipes

I agree that Breivik's viewpoint is different than Daniel Pipes. But fundamentally they both see the same threats and share the same fears... but Daniel Pipe's approach to solving the problem is less extreme and more peaceful than Breivik. If I get Pipes, he's only advocating anti-Muslim injustice, discrimination and assimilation by peaceful means.

A quote out of context means nothing.
Unless it's used to demonize Jews.

Quotes out of context deliberately chosen to be as misleading as possible are obviously manipulative:
Like those that demonize Jews?

The people who influenced Breivik's fear and hatred towards Muslims should be exposed.
The people who influence Jew haters and hatred towards Jews and Israel should be exposed.

That's why you get my attention.

Any time someone kills this many people, its worth a close look.
Unless they kill Jews.

Well if not the patience than at least the looks and feeding habits.
They feed on carrion.

What an excellent description of your posts.

Did you even READ the piece?????

This terrorist lists among his favorite authors George Orwell, Thomas Hobbes, John Stuart Mill, John Locke, Adam Smith, Edmund Burke, Ayn Rand, and William James.

To quote EAO...............

Uh-huh.

The guy is NUTS EAO, and so is your unfettered love of him.

There are still calls from the islamic community to allow sharia law in Canada.
I figure if that is what they want they should move to a repressive country that already has it. Oh poop they just came from there.
On Sharia Law I tend to lean to your side, however didn't they say it was only in cases of marriages, marital disputes and divorce. But still we have laws about these subjects in Canada which apply to all cases.

Yes I did read Daniel Pipes attempt to distance himself from Breivik. But references in Breivik's manifesto to Pipe's threats and manipulated factoids regarding Islam show that Breivik followed Pipes pretty closely.

Daniel Pipes regarding Eurabia:
Europe or Eurabia? :: Daniel Pipes

Breivik regarding Eurabia:
...The creation of Eurabia ranks as one of the greatest betrayals in the history of Western
civilisation. Does that mean that all EU federalists or those who participate in the various
instruments of the Euro-Arab Dialogue are evil? No, reality isn't that simple. As Hugh
Fitzgerald points out, "A whole class of people has gotten rich from Arab money and
bribes; lawyers, public relations men, and diplomats, journalists, university teachers and
assorted officials." ...
...The European Union – or the Eurabian Empire if you will – is a naked power grab by the
elites in order to dismantle the nations there are supposed to serve. Instead of being
mere servants of the people in smaller countries, they aspire to become members of an
unaccountable elite ruling a vast empire as they see fit. This is why they continue to
promote mass immigration as if nothing has happened even if people get blown up,
raped, mugged and murdered in their own cities. They don't care. They are generals on a
warpath. Ordinary citizens are simply cannon fodder, pawns to be sacrificed in the
conquest of their glorious, new empire. Mass immigration is used to crush all nation
states simultaneously so that the natives have no real alternatives to flee to, and no
countries can come to the aid of others against the advancing Islamisation....

Pipes and the other anti-Islam propagandists sowed the seeds of false fear and hate. While Breivik may be their unintended creation, he is still a product of their efforts to demonize Muslims. They are responsible "to some degree" for Breivik's murderous rampage, in the same way that falsely yelling "fire" in a theater makes one responsible for the deaths of people trampled to death by a panicked crowd.

Regarding your claims that I "love" Breivik... That's pretty ludicrous, especially coming from someone who has virtually the same opinion as Breivik regarding Muslims:

Who wrote this? Breivik or Colpy?
Islam is a death cult that holds up as an example a seventh century psychotic genocidal murderer, rapist, war monger and pedophile. Islam brooks no dissent, calls for the murder of homosexuals, apostates, and pagans.
Answer: Colpy

Who wrote this? Breivik or Colpy?
Islam is an evil, retarded and supremacist death-cult that refuses to afford women and unbelievers respect and the most basic of human rights because Islam advocates violence to force submission to Allah.
Answer: Breivik

If you read through Breivik's manifesto, I bet you would find yourself agreeing with about 95% of his opinions regarding Muslims.

That might have something to do with you and Breivik frequenting the same anti-Islam websites:

Colpy reference to ReligionOfPeace.com

Brevik reference to ReligionOfPeace.com
the overwhelming majority of terrorist attacks around the world have been committed by Muslims, including, of course, the spectacular attacks of 9/11/01 (USA), 3/11/04 (Spain), and 7/7/05 (UK). (For a more comprehensive list of Muslim attacks, visit Islam: Making a True Difference in the World - One Body at a Time.)

No doubt you also have also visited Jihad Watch, Atlas Shrugs and many of the other lunatic Islamaphobic websites referenced by Breivik in his manifesto ... and you are trying to associate me with Breivik??? that's rich!

Nice dodge, "Their statements typically don't make our news" Referring to elsewhere? I could care less about elsewhere, it is my county and people that concern me.

So list the number of islamic terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.

How many of your Islamic neighbours do you visit with?

Goober,

I noticed how you voted in this poll. I'll admit to being surprised by your vote. Would you please explain your rationale for your vote?

FYI:
Many Canadian news sources are not telling the truth regarding Breviek's motivations. Any attempt to portray Breivik's actions as unrelated to his fear and hatred of Islam are deliberate fabrications.

Breivik justifies his murderous rampage as a legitimate response to the Norwegian government's treasonous immigration policies which have accelerated the Islamization of Norway.

Just because he is insane, doesn't mean he has to be incoherent or always irrational: the scariest part about some mental illnesses is the ability of those suffering to blend in and appear "normal". Just because Breivik exhibited enough base intelligence to conceive and execute his horrendous plan, doesn't mean he is sane.

As to the threat raised by Islam, as mentioned in the OP, I think it is mis-stated. The threat is from fundamentalism, be it Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sihk or any other sect. Islam's problem in that regard is that is appears to have more/a larger proportion of fundamentalist followers than other sects. Muslims who stop trying to interpret the Koran as an absolute truth and more of a moral guide are no more danger than any other rational person.

When was the last time a western leader or the MSM blamed an act of violence on a "Christian Fundamentalist"?

When a crazy Christian, Jew or Sikh commits an act of violence, tour leaders and MSM labels them as "religious extremists". This terminology creates a perception that these nut cases are a fringe minority of the religious group.

When a crazy Muslim commits a similar act of violence, they are labeled a "Muslim Fundamentalist", creating a perception that all Muslims are fundamentally crazy and violent.

Anti-Muslim propaganda is so pervasive, most people don't realize how much their opinions regarding Muslims are "fundamentally" wrong.

"Muslim Fundamentalist" is a common anti-Islam propaganda buzzword. Others exist. For example take the less commonly used anti-Islam propaganda buzzword "Eurabia". ( the end result of European Islamization). Breivik frequently uses this anti-Muslim propaganda buzzword in his manifesto (2083 - A European Declaration of Independence). But Breivik didn't invent the term "Eurabia". Its a clue about Breivik's sources of irrational fear and hatred of Muslims. The term "Eurabia" is commonly used by Daniel Pipes (Middle East Forum), Bat Ye'or ( Dhimmi.org ), Robert Spencer ( Jihad Watch ), Pamela Geller ( Atlas Shrugs ) and other anti-Islam propagandists to describe the Muslim threat to Europe through immigration and high birth rates. This fear of Eurabia as promoted by anti-Islam propagandists prompted Breivik to go after Norway's leadership and their families because of the Norwegian government's treasonous Muslim friendly immigration policies.

While anti-Islam propagandists didn't explicitly advocate violence, their propaganda fueled Breivik's irrational fear and hate of Muslims and motivated Breivik to take violent action.

Breivik is sane enough to understand the consequences of his actions. He was well aware that he was killing people. He knew his actions would cause terror, grief and pain. Those consequences were the point of his deliberately and meticulously planned actions. Brevik is as sane as Daniel Pipes, Bat Ye'or, Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. The only difference between Breivik and his referenced sources of irrational fear and hate of Muslims are that Breivik is a mass murderer. Breivik will spend a long time in prison as a consequence of his actions. The people who pushed Breivik's buttons to hate and fear Muslims won't. These anti-Islam propagandists should be flown to Norway and put on trial to defend the role they played in Breivik's murderous rampage.

... and possibly future violent acts.

Only in the minds of people who are not capable of understanding plain english.

In reality, the perception created is that Muslim Fundamentalists are crazy and violent. The same way we believe that most Christian Fundamentalista are crazy and violent. See how that works? What's true for one is true for the other. See if you can keep up.

Then there must be millions of insane people.

Millions of people share Breiviks irrational fear of a greater Eurabia. Just ask Colpy about the "Religion of Peace" and the long term goals of Muslim Canadians. Ask him what he means by "Democracy, immigration, multiculturalism. Pick any two." He will tell you about the same threat that Breivik fears.

Muslim immigration, their high birthrate and multiculturalism will lead to Sharia Law in Europe and in Canada. If you are unclear on this threat, I suggest you get Colpy to explain it, or you can visit the same websites frequented by Colpy and Breivik:

Breivik feared the threat of Eurabia so much, he was willing to mass murder 77 people just to get everyone's attention. Breivik uses the term Eurabia hundreds of time in his manifesto to identify the threat to Norway's cultural identity. He also clearly identifies the people who made him aware of this threat.

Daniel Pipes (Middle East Forum)
Bat Ye'or ( Dhimmi.org )
Robert Spencer ( Jihad Watch )
Pamela Geller ( Atlas Shrugs )
... and about a dozen less well known anti-Islam blogs.

Are you saying that Colpy is insane to fear Canada being assimilated by Muslims, leading to Canada becoming a Muslim fundamentalist state and non-Muslims becoming Dhimmis under Sharia law? I suggest you take that up with him.

What? You don't like dissent? Colpy has made his judgements regarding the threat of long term Muslim goals, also stated by them, by way of logic given the facts available IMO.
Could you please state the great contribution you have made to Canada that leads you to assume the right to change it? Just trying to remember here, where all the Muslims were while we were scratching out a living, building, and defending our country for the past couple hundred years. Ah, now i remember, they were scratching their heads and wondering what that black gooey stuff was in the sand.
Any immigrant should have a fair shake in this country, assuming they respect what made the country great, part of which was deciding that specific religious dogma should be phased out of government.

How many people were slaughtered in the last century strictly from BS propaganda driven xenophobia?

Don't know and don't much care. Not sure which direction to take your point or question from petros?

Europeans created in north America the finest and most free civilization in human history. The ones who stayed home in Europe reaped the benefits without the trauma, and are indebted to the new world for their very freedom to tell us what to do with our wildly successful society.
But it ain't utopia so it is all wrong:roll:
