Stuart Smaleey just got awarded the MN Senate seat by the MN Supreme Court and not the voters. Gee where did that happen before?
The decision was expected, EagleSmack, all the lower courts ruled in favor of Franken, Coleman did not win a single victory in the courts. So it would have been very surprising if the Supreme Court had ruled differently.
This is totally unlike 2000. There Florida Supreme Court had ordered a recount. The US Supreme Court, in a rank, disgusting display of political partisanship, voted by 5 to 4 vote to overrule the Florida Supreme Court and award the presidency to their buddy, Bush.
The Republicans on the US Supreme Court are forever bleating about states’ rights. However, when it came to awarding presidency to their buddy, Bush, all the talk of states’ rights went right out the window.
But I suppose it all worked out in the end, Bush practically destroyed the Republican Party. So the ill gotton victory did not do Republicans much good.
Same thing Joey. Yet your hypocritical liberal slant can't see it.
The MN Supreme Court awarded the seat to Franken as did the Supreme Court did for Bush.
Same thing.
According to you, an Alzheimer patient helped the dissolution of the "Evil Empire". An Alzheimer patient had the nerve to call the Soviets exactly what they were. An Alzheimer patient created the most vibrant economy with the tax cuts that gave purchasing power to the middle class. An Alzheimer patient commandedsuch respect that people from all walk of life from all contries came to pay homage to him in 2004, including world leadrs, including his vanquished opponent Gorbachev who had the decency - unlike you and your sick ilk - to recognize a political giant.
"Lame brained, Alzheimers, wasn't much of a choice back then."
TenPenny, (I hope I spelled your name correctly) in another post I called you despicable. What I meant then was that not you, but your words were despicable.
Let me change my mind: your quote above clearly indicates that YOU ARE!

from what I've read Alzheimers patients live on average 10 years after diagnosis
Note the term 'after diagnosis'....not 'after the onset of early stage Alzheimers'.
Alzheimers is not a light switch that turns on suddenly, it's a gradual deterioration of mental faculties over the course of quite a few years - it's usually a long time before it's actually diagnosed.
The oil will flow to the location where the producer will make the most money and that will make the US market a second class citizen in this scenario.
