''Mickey Mouse should be able to beat Obama in 2012 if his policies do not change.''

Even if Mickey became a Republican he stlil doesn't have a chance if he and his party don't come up with any solutions. Like the forum far right, all the Republicans have done up to now is to continue to attack and criticize Obama. But they have not offered even the slightest solution for the mess created by Bush.

Unlike the past, people are not fooled any more by attacks. If the GOP wants to win they will have to come up with solutions and this is something they do not have.

Stuart Smaleey just got awarded the MN Senate seat by the MN Supreme Court and not the voters. Gee where did that happen before?

The decision was expected, EagleSmack, all the lower courts ruled in favor of Franken, Coleman did not win a single victory in the courts. So it would have been very surprising if the Supreme Court had ruled differently.

This is totally unlike 2000. There Florida Supreme Court had ordered a recount. The US Supreme Court, in a rank, disgusting display of political partisanship, voted by 5 to 4 vote to overrule the Florida Supreme Court and award the presidency to their buddy, Bush.

The Republicans on the US Supreme Court are forever bleating about states’ rights. However, when it came to awarding presidency to their buddy, Bush, all the talk of states’ rights went right out the window.

But I suppose it all worked out in the end, Bush practically destroyed the Republican Party. So the ill gotton victory did not do Republicans much good.

Same thing Joey. Yet your hypocritical liberal slant can't see it.

The MN Supreme Court awarded the seat to Franken as did the Supreme Court did for Bush.

Same thing.

gopher, in a typically left-wing, paranoid way said:

''half breed'' sounds like a racist comment -- I hope I am not misinterpreting it.

What's racist?? Obama's father was a black man (who , by the way said to him piss on you) and his mother was a white woman. He was raised by his WHITE grandparents, and yet, showing his gratitude, he dismisses them and even worse, disrespects them by declaring that that he is Black.

But that is what you get with Obama: Half measures all the way, unless it is socialism.

They just kept counting, counting, counting and counting till the Democrats got the results they wanted. Al Franken former Saturday Night Live comedian. Guess that completes the comedy team for this election period.

Correction: we the majority VOTERS of Minnesota awarded the seat to Franken.

Secondly, both Supreme Courts are dominated by Republicans. Therefore, political favoritism had no role in the decision which acknowledged Franken as winner.

gopher, look at your own post #121.

Then go and look at your post #127.

With people like you no wonder that Minnesota put Jesse Ventura in the Governor's mansion and put the ridiculous clown Al Franken in the Senate.

Not to mention the fact that you MInnesotans were the only lame-brained electorate to vote for the most lame-brained of them all, Walter Mondale in 1984.

"Lame brained, Alzheimers, wasn't much of a choice back then."

TenPenny, (I hope I spelled your name correctly) in another post I called you despicable. What I meant then was that not you, but your words were despicable.

Let me change my mind: your quote above clearly indicates that YOU ARE!

According to you, an Alzheimer patient helped the dissolution of the "Evil Empire". An Alzheimer patient had the nerve to call the Soviets exactly what they were. An Alzheimer patient created the most vibrant economy with the tax cuts that gave purchasing power to the middle class. An Alzheimer patient commandedsuch respect that people from all walk of life from all contries came to pay homage to him in 2004, including world leadrs, including his vanquished opponent Gorbachev who had the decency - unlike you and your sick ilk - to recognize a political giant.

You have it exaclty right, except that 'patient' may not be the right term. Don't know if he was receiving any treatment at the time.

Are you trying to claim that it's impossible for someone with Alzheimers to do these things? Do you know anything about the progression of the disease?

You mean "tear down that wall"? Yep, Big Ronnie was one of the best- NOw to get one thing straight- from what I've read Alzheimers patients live on average 10 years after diagnosis and I believe Ronnie died in 2004, so when he did all this good stuff he didn't likely have Alzheimers.

Note the term 'after diagnosis'....not 'after the onset of early stage Alzheimers'.

Alzheimers is not a light switch that turns on suddenly, it's a gradual deterioration of mental faculties over the course of quite a few years - it's usually a long time before it's actually diagnosed.

You're right, I think Reagan lasted about 16 years after handing the reins over to Old George- right at the end of his term he was getting a little napish.

Came across this little diddy about Obama.

"No apologies for posting consecutively on Barack Obama: the Looney Tunes President’s sell-out of US and Western interests is proceeding at such a speed that it is difficult to keep pace. Well said, Nile Gardiner, for asking if Barack Obama is the most naïve president in American history. The answer is undoubtedly yes – unless he has a secret agenda to cut America down to size."

Hither and yon
Other posts have been made on Obama's Cap and Trade policy that he is planning on imposing on Canada.
Its pretty well understood that he plans to tax Canada for selling oil to the US under this plan.
While reading through the fine print of this plan another interesting point has developed.
In this bill working its way through the senate it now appears that the Americans are going to give Canada zero credit for hydroelectricity as an environmentally friendly power source.
Ontario and Quebec sell a lot of hydro derived power to the Americans and this Cap and Trade bill intentionally refuses to grant Canada's hydroelectric exports clean energy status.
So the plan now appears to be to Tax all of Canada's energy exports to the USA and not just Alberta's oil and gas.
Its nice to see that the Obama administration plans on screwing all the Canadian provinces more or less equally and not just picking on any one industry.

Obama may as well screw the world also, no need for us to be in it alone. It was the world who also thought/think he is the new messiah put here to save us all. At least Bush let us all make a profit. See he wasn't all bad.

Obama's cap/trade imposition on Canada has already yielded measurable results in that there is a big push on developing the pipelines for crude and bitumen to the West coast on an expedited schedule. The customer-base it will service will be China and India (among others).

The oil will flow to the location where the producer will make the most money and that will make the US market a second class citizen in this scenario.
