Is GOP about to dump Trump?

There have been rumours about this during the whole campaign. It's pops up every few months that Trump doesn't really want to be president or he's about to quit or that the Republican establishment is right PO'd and going to dump him. It seemed interesting the first few times but after a while it's hard to believe it's not just the same meme cycling through again.

Trump is constantly saying awful things and prominent Republicans are constantly repudiating him, saying they're "unacceptable" but still accepting him or as Paul Ryan said "textbook racism" but still endorsing him. I'll believe the Republicans are going to dump Trump or Trump is going to quit when I see it happen.

A lot of Republicans have already dumped him, but you're right.........I think he will be on the ballot under the GOP banner.

It might be best for the party in the long run if they back off Trump and let him lose disasterously in the election......bit of a shock to the idiots that are supporting him. And four years to regroup.

If Trump wins.....OMG.

Jesus, they have only themselves to blame. Practically anyone else on the original GOP primary race would beat the sewer that is Clinton.

You have to be a special kind of idiot to support Trump. If the Republicans are going to want to regroup, they'll have to excise those idiots.

Same would go for Hillary Clinton too. If she loses, the Democrats are going to have reform the cynical corruption at the top. Can they? I doubt it. Neither party seems capable of learning lessons.

But ES taught me it's the libruls that were the panickers.

GOP reaches ‘new level of panic’ over Trump’s candidacy

It's never a good idea to brag about winning before you've won anything:

Glad you remembered your lesson. The libtards are in complete panic.

I never said Trump would win. In fact I have said Hillary has the best shot all along. I am just enjoying the meltdown and panic that you libs are having.

From the above thread in November of 2012

Then we'd be like liberal Democrats.

We're patient... mid-term elections in two years.

And what happened at the midterms in 2014?

I've long thought that Trump was never really interested in being prez. He is just doing this for his own amusement and to make a parody of the US election system. In that he has certainly succeeded. Both parties require a really good shakeup and take a serious look at what they have become. If indeed they are capable of such thought.

I totally agree. If Romney was running it would be a landslide GOP win (for example).

unless trump actually quits and walks away, can the republicans actually drop him, he has been

voted in by the delegates, all others pushed aside, so how can they drop him, and,oh by the way,

it would be rigged right?, just like he says everything else is rigged against him, he sounds like

a basket case, thinking everyone is against him, well, they should be.

wasn't long ago everyone on here was bashing Romney for trying to urge republicans to go a different

direction than trump, no one would support that at the time, I wonder what they think now in hindsight.

there is no guarantee that anyone else who had been elected as the nominee would beat Hillary Clinton,

the game has to be played to the finish, even Romney, I remember his arrogance and b.s. last election,

and I notice he didn't win the nomination and it seems he wouldn't have won this one either.

I see trump is starting to complain about the dates for debates, its a ploy as he doesn't want to

face Hillary as she will fry him in any debate, he did the same in the primaries, pretended he wanted

to donate to veterans, that was a sham. lets see how he gets out of the debates coming up, true politicians

are professional debators, they are prepared and ready with all of their b.s., which they all do, he

isn't prepared, he will holler and shout talk out of turn and not stick to any moderators instructions

at all, and probably walk out, and, yep you guessed it, 'RIGGED', lol.
