We will need a new discriptor for the looney radiation denialists.

Not quite yet Bill. However there are so many that are aching for this to really be a disaster.

If you're going to keep using that bit of rubbish psychology, a kin to "greed is good" you should read what is said about those who imagine that it does indeed motivate interested observers to wish for the worst. Idiot, the worst has already happened, the unimaginable uncontainable worst. Murder has already been committed on a planetary scale animals plants and men all sentenced to death in the millions by Mr Greedy Banking Asshole.

Bioaccumulation: Why Fukushima Matters

By: Alex2245

What is Bioaccumulation?
Simply Stated -
All living organisms are connected to each other through a food chain.
It takes more organisms in the beginning of a food chain to support a smaller number of organisms at the end of the chain. Where bioaccumulation refers to how pollutants enter a food chain; biomagnification refers to the tendency of pollutants to concentrate as they move from one trophic level to the next, up the “food chain.”
* Bioaccumulation refers to how pollutants enter a food chain
* Biomagnification refers to the tendency of pollutants to concentrate

Shouldn't you be preaching to the Japanese first of all?

Nobody that knows ANYTHING about nuclear power generation expected that plant to blow up. It had no capability at all of becoming an atomic bomb. Only alarmist fools thought that it could.

I will remind you that Chernoble killed no one, other than the people actually working to stop it. Three mile island did not damage anyone at all.

Your panic, and your ignorance, do not help at all. Instead, it simply gets in the way of those that know what they are doing, and are working to stop this from becoming an environmental nightmare for a while.
Over a million have died, dig your head out of your ass. Did you look at the buildings? That is what n-plants look like after they have exploded, a n-bomb has less than 10kg of fissionable material, one reactor has several tons of material.

The Legacy of Chernobyl

Paul Fusco photographs the children born within the radiation zone.

Updated Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 7:05 AM ETNote: This video contains some disturbing images.
From 1997 to 2000, Paul Fusco made repeated trips to the areas surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear plant. What was meant to be a quick visit turned into a long-term project as he found himself overwhelmed by the fate of the children born within the radiation zone of Chernobyl and the love that their caregivers provided. In this multimedia piece, featuring images from his trips, Fusco reflects on the horrific legacy of the Chernobyl disaster.

How about the same ****ing speech you always have, nothing to fear about events in Japan?

The lady in the vid made the claim, look up the material she is referencing. No doubt many children probably looked like they do in the vid,

You may call this fear mongering bout he a lot more qualified than you.

Same place as the rest of the dead, in the ground. Eagle is losing his dad to cancer, I would bet the Gummerment told him it was quite safe to work with without any protection at all. As you can see not all crazies are on this forum. Japan is just setting it up so 'heart attack' can be stamped on any death certificate fro the age of 6 to 96. The denial is there, same with exporting asbestos, as long as it is far enough removed that 'the exporters' can't be sued it a legit move that harms no one. Everybody on that 'tour' most likely had showers that were twice as long as normal.

(in part)
Tokyo, Japan, 22 April, 2011 – Greenpeace today called on the Japanese government to drop plans to raise the official limits of radiation exposure for children in Fukushima Prefecture, 20 milliSievert per year (1) – the same level as nuclear power plant workers, and twenty times the internationally recognised annual allowable dose for adults.
The international environmental organisation has also asked the governments of nations including Germany, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Canada, Greece, India, France and Italy (2), to raise the issue with Japan.
“It is utterly outrageous to raise the exposure levels for children to twenty times the maximum limit for adults. The Japanese government cannot simply increase safety limits for the sake political convenience or to give the impression of normality”, said Junichi Sato, Greenpeace Japan Executive Director. “One of the lessons learned from Chernobyl was that children are far more vulnerable to the effects of radiation, and the Fukushima nuclear crisis will expose them to much higher risks of developing radiation related diseases due to contamination (3)”.

This week, we hear a repeat of Dr Caldicott’s May 17 program featuring an interview with Janette D. Sherman, M.D. on the long-term effects of the 1986 Chernobyl meltdown. Dr. Sherman has recently completed the translation and editing of the book Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and Nature, published by the New York Academy of Sciences in December 2009, which indicates that nearly one million people were killed by the Chernobyl disaster. Download and read the book for free by following the instructions on this page.

My bad, I thought you actually meant killed by Chernobyl, not a connect the dots guessing game.

So much for being on your iggy list, lol.

Hmmm... not quite. Sorry to spoil it for you. :)

So where's the million+ dead?

Hey Bear, in an article I read, not enough people in the Chernoble area were dying of cancer. So the "No Nukes" started counting "heart attacks" as a direct result of Chernoble!

Heart attacks in the land where if you don't smoke and drink vodka by age 10 you would appear out of the norm.

I though you mentioned something like that on the asbestos thread.

Need your proofreader's help. WAFT lol Again you show you missed the show, those deaths were for the ones that did the inspection many years after the tomb was erected, the part the animals left alive in the area will be for the mutated calves and pups and kittens. Like the children in the Ukraine they will be 'downers' from birth, life isn't kind enough to let them die. Even the soldiers that did the actual cleanup didn't start dieing until a few months had passed. Try taking the toll at the end of the year.

Don't the Irish burn up all by themselves, if they make it to old age. It's a 5 part vid, want to see the leader give the details of why he was the only one to be there to do the narration? It's like reclassifying the dead soldiers overseas, if it isn't a combat wound (caused by the enemy) they aren't classified as a 'causality of war'. See how civilized we have become.
