Hey s243a,

Still waiting for your proof that the Taliban is operating in Iraq. Arabs don't like taking orders from Aryan tribesmen so it will interesting to see you prove your claim.

Also, Bush's operatives are now saying that anyone who is fighting against his imperialism is al-Qaeda:

http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2007/06/23/al_qaeda/index.html

quote:

" Everyone we fight in Iraq is now "al-Qaida"
A change in the way the Bush administration and military commanders refer to "the enemy" in Iraq has been almost immediately adopted by the media ..."

I think we should all get togther and buy Eaglesmack and a few others here at CC a ticket to fly into Iraq....

Since John McCaine has declared Baghdad as safe as Indiana to go shopping and mill around in the marketplace...perhaps many many Americans supporting this insanity should be given trips to sprawl in the splendor of the rebuilding of Iraq and Afghanistan...

Oh and make sure their children are sent there as well....

Undoubtedly as Chaney and Rumsfeld told everyone back a few years ago..."The people of Iraq will spread flowers on the streets welcoming their liberators..."

Bring us all back a few flowers now wontcha....;)

Is it reasonable to expect that a rag like the Telegraph would have the integrity to provide the truth or isn't it more likely that the Toni Blair ...."Oh Yay we have a coalition of the willing with the biggest bully on the block...prepared to kill thousands upon thousands of people...." mentality will rule as long as there are enough of the elite industrialists and henchmen making their blood money keep on being happy as people die?

If you took all the weapons of the fabled "stockpiles" purportedly held by Saddam Hussein and the evil Iraqi empire...and all the weapons of fabulous British American...teat sucking and put them in a pile...they wouldn't amount to 1percent of all the armaments available to either Britain or the United States...

Even after years have gone by and the myth of impending world conflagration at the hands of the Butcher of Bahgdad's imense stockpiles of weapons... that never have appeared and that evidence clearly indicates never existed....like a nuclear weapons program ...lied about by the Americans...the eagerly stupid and selectively ignorant will continue to believe that America's invaision wasn't "urgent" or "necessary"....

Seems like global warming (as fake) and species extinction (as unimportant) aren't the only convictions held by these geniuses...

The ultra right wing News Max has been known for making up its own "facts" and "truths". Funny thing is, they never present any such ''evidence'' before the Senate Armed Services Committee under oath where they could face perjury charges for their incessant lies.

C'mon Goph, there's a lot of difference between news-grade "facts", policy-makin-grade "facts" , propaganda-grade "facts" and actual facts, surely you've come to realize that by now :D

EDIT okay, I don't know who killed the folks I mentioned earlier in this post (incorrect part has been removed)

the whole Middle East BS is starting to look more like an episode of Fear Factor, with all the participants seeing how much the others can stand before crying Uncle

I'd rather be a liar than say stepping in to stop Genocide was illegal.

Laws without justice to legitimize them are just words, and irritating ones at that. I think if it was your family being dragged into the street and shot your views might be different.

International "laws" are not laws. They bear no legitimacy and have no enforcers. The closest nation to an international police force is America, and much of the cries of "illegal" are directed at them.

There has been even greater genocide in Congo but I don't see anyone making up any reason to stop it. Since you are so concerned with stopping genocide, what steps have you taken to stop it there?

And why did Iraq invade Iraq but not Congo?

Hint: oil $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

If you hear any explosions, they are just the locals celebrating their liberation with fireworks. American tourists should seek out these local street parties and bring lots of American flags. They can expect to be welcomed by adoring crowds.

Does that sentiment apply to any unarmed civilian dragged out into the street and shot by the military/police?

Mark Furhmann and other fascist cops did that in the streets of Los Angeles and no right winger ever objected.

Sometimes I think the same speech writers from the Vietnam war have come out of retirement.
Oh a few phrases are different, surge instead of escallation and that sort of thing.
America is not only losing in Iraq she is losing in the entire middle east and I only hope this does not expand into an international tribal civil war featuring suni and shia muslims going at it across boaders, and think it all came about because of the policies of the President of the USA

Further ''proof'' that Bush's surge is working:

http://www.antiwar.com/updates/?articleid=11444

quote:

```
At least 572 Iraqis were killed and 412 more wounded in the latest round of attacks, which included a major triple bombing in northern Iraq. Also, six GIs were killed and three more were wounded in separate events.
One American servicemember was killed and three others were wounded during combat operations in western Baghdad. Also, a helicopter went down during a post-maintenance check, killing five Coalition members.
Four suicide bombers, at least one driving an oil tanker truck attacked residential compounds belonging to Yazidi sect. At least 250 were killed and 350 more were wounded in three areas near Sinjar, with CNN reporting that over 500 were killed. Mortar attacks and more exposions were reported afterwards...```
... more ...
Well, what happened to all the talk from the Bush Nuts re the alleged success of his campaign?
Not too defense of Bush around here nowadays, anymore. Wonder why ...
let us not cheer failure in Iraq, Just because we want to punish
American hubris.
Let us wish Iraq has another chance
and keep our eye on that wish rather than the most secondary wish
of proving again the already proven slam dunk that the Americans made many horrible mistakes here, including that of going to war.
The left liberals and the right conservatives have both been wrong
for many reasons.
Again nothing is more important than the only issue of Iraq getting
a second chance.
