Millions of people are trying to get to the US to avoid it's bombs in thier homelands. Hey freeman,
you stole that freedom from the rest of the planet. The rest of the planet considers you a terrorist, because you think you're free means nothing you also think you're living in a democracy and your country is the best in the world, you are free to choke on a cheezeburger anytime you want. You should also check out the number of Americans fleeing the States everyday for anyplace they can get to.

I would LOVE for you to provide me with that number of people "fleeing" the States!

They are flocking to the USA by the thousands because it gives them the best opportunity for a better life AND FREEDOM!

FREEDOM!

Your silly comments on them wanting to escape our bombs... C'mon now. Listen to yourself. How have we bombed Mexico?

FREEDOM and the USA Baby! The world may not be to fond of Bush right now but that doesn't stop the MILLIONS upon MILLIONS trying to get here.

Eaglesmack- you seem to use the crappiest of all lousy "debating" tactics in many of your posts- do you believe that everyone here is so dumb as to not be able to see that, or do you actually view the world in this ridiculous way?? Just Curious is all :D

Well sometimes I like to have fun.

You see, the fact is folks like you will NEVER agree with what anyone with an opposing view has to say. So I can bring facts and logical dialouge to the table and it is just met with scoffs and dribble.

So at times I stoop to the level of my feeble opposition and have a little fun!

In a true debate not one of you have been able to hold their own against me and resort to name calling, trying to get me banned, or running to Information Clearing House to post fantasies.

If it wasnt an opposing view they'd agree. It'd be hard to agree with an opposing view, because, you see, it's opposite

Oy veh, hermanntrude !!!

Sometimes being so literal is explanatory.

Other times, and this is the time, being so literal misses Eaglesmack's entire point.

Let's just say the rigidity and blindness the Left sees in the Right is just the
opposite side of the same coin, where the Right absolutely sees rigidity and blindness in the Left.

Eaglesmack is pointing out the utter impotence logic or rationality has in swaying another
person's opinion.

We should be more cognizant that emotion informs our opinion
more than logic does. We hold on to our opinion like
we hold on to our best pet dog or cat.

And if you lose your pet, well then you can understand how uncomfortable it is to lose your
own opinion.

I have no opinion on this because as i have stated before I cannot trust anyone's opinion or any of the sources of info, so I essentially know nothing.

I am ashamed to say I was merely entertaining myself by pedantically pointing out eagle's error in logic

I think when it comes to politics sometimes that is the best attitude. :)

There they are folks... the DBs and Gophers of the world. If not in truth but in spirit!

I have no idea WTF you're talking about. One of those links deals with global warming, another with Canadian politics. I don't know a damn thing about either and don't comment on them.

Where was your Critisizm of of this post?

Christ Gopher you got thinking and rightwingers in the same sentence. Is that possible or just science fiction?

A lot of people on the left think they are smart because they can make fun of Bush. You would have to be blind not to see it.

Well let me help you out. So many people on the left look at one person who is right leaning that says something absurd and says look what they represent. They ignore the bigots and idiots in their own party. If the left can choose who best represents the right then why can’t the right choose who best represents the left. In that spirt I choose hummertime as the embodiment of the left leaning voter :p

What makes you think I'm a leftist? Pat Buchanan, the John Birch Society, Lew Rockwell, and libertyforum.org {probably my favorite web site}, and Lyndon Larouche all attack Bush with greater vehemence and they are all right wingers.

BTW, if you and other critics bothered to look up the links I have provided here over the years, you would have noted that virtually all of them come from those right wing sources above.

That's the point: I do not subscribe to any hard-fast ideology. We discussed on this forum a long time ago (well before you came here) that I believe in political realism, not any ideology. I do my own thinking but will be receptive enough to read Pat Buchanan's writings or those of the British Guardian. Closing your mind to either side does nothing to serve the pursuit of truth.

If conservatives like those above criticize Bush more than do the libs, you should keep an open mind and see what they have to say. It just may be that the left has been correct about him all along.

Realism is code for the ideology of defeatism. In other words Sadam may have been a horrible evil man that brutalized and gassed his own people but he is the best we can hope for in Iraq.

If that is what you choose to believe, so be it. I'm not going to twist your arm.

History shows, however, that a society that succunbs to tyranny is one where people are not allowed to think independently such as in Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany, Apartheid South Africa. Free thinking societies such as the UK and USA are the ones that thrive the most. On that point, history cannot be more clear.

I hate Pat Buchanan almost as much a Gore. :) I’ll have to look up some of the other people for my curiosity. As you can tell I am not particularly drawn to any political movement either.
