Or for those who claim CNN bias...

"Aid workers and officials in Martha's Vineyard said 50 people arrived there, including women and young children, and they had been told they would be taken to a place that could give them a place to stay and jobs.

One church leader who helped said no one there had any notice ahead of time, but they are doing what they can to help the migrants.

"Many of them were just too overwhelmed. We just started feeding people outside when they were standing outside because everybody was just really hungry. And then moved them inside as soon as we could," Barb Rush with St. Andrews Episcopal Church said."

And now the REPUBLICAN Mass. Governor is doing what needs doing.

So a tale of two Republicans, two Governors... and easy to tell which one actually has human compassion and which one is a deadbeat piece of garbage.

And for those who are all "Biden is doing so horrible about the border issue!"

Bit o facts (damn those facts)

First, Trump:

Then Biden:

https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/biden-one-year-mark (of note " Under the Title 42 policy (referencing the section of the U.S. code where it derives its authority), the Biden administration has carried out 990,000 expulsions, more than double the Trump administration’s 460,000, partly because the number of migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border has spiked.")

So this means... what?

Seems DEMS are harder on immigration and the border than even Trump was. It's just Trump had no problem ripping families apart and not giving a shit, while Dems will deport them all together (most of the time).

But BOTH sides are just as horrible and apparently not wanting to deal with the issue what so ever.

I see your post ignores all the secretive midnight "ghost flights" the Democrats have used to transport illegals on the taxpayers' dime. At least DeSantis and the Texas governor are doing it in broad daylight and not trying to hide it.

the illegal immigrant situation has been bad under Obama (the first person to put 'children in cages"), trump and is slowly worsening under biden. As a result its no shock that various states are taking various actions they see necessary to address the issues arising from that.

There's nothing "compassionate" about any of this. You send mixed messages to potential immigrants who then think it's maybe ok to 'bend' the laws and then they get treated badly by an ad hoc system that has zero chance of actually coping properly with their presence.

The US has been screwing around with this for decades. People need to set a solid and firm policy for how to deal with these potential immigrants and enforce it, and that structure has to address how they will be let in, how they will be dealt with once they're in and the enforcement of that (both on the immigrant and those who deal with them so they don't get exploited) and end the grey area nonsense. And if you break a rule then you're out, period. But it has to be fair and match the realities and be comprehensive. It can't be "build a wall" or "just let them in and we'll figure it out later".

Turns out the victims were all from Texass. Floriduh just provided the flights. Because that's a great use of Florida funds.

Dropped 'em on Martha's Vineyard with no notice. The people on Martha's banded together to take care of them.

The victims were told they were going to Boston.

Because lying to people to get them to get in a vehicle and then kicking them out at a destination other than what you told them isn't human trafficking.

Funny story -something similar happened in canada in the 90's. BC had a slightly higher welfare payment than alberta or ontario and so both provinces adopted a policy of telling their homeless "we're going to cut you off for reasons, BUT if you like we're going to pay for a one way ticket to Vancouver where there's no snow in the winter and you'll make more money on welfare! The bus is over there, here's some snacks! :)

It became a major political battle at the time.

Good ol Klein and "work for welfare".

BTW, Alberta will still pay to move people to their home Provinces but its more than just a bus ticket these days.

Source?

Also, where the same 'illegals' sent to their new 'home' on a lie, a political stunt and with the receiving community not prepared what so ever for the sudden influx of people? Were Dems proud of what they did, publicly stating so all for that sweet, sweet "gotcha!" moment that turned out to be a dud?

Well, it seems the "voted in" federal government opted to allow all these people into the country, so it seems to me all 50 states are responsible for their share of looking after them. Texas and Florida seem to have more than their share to look after. Time for the rest to step up.

It's not 'stepping up' that people really objected to.

Again, it was the lying, the not bothering to give a heads up; really it was lack of respect about the issue because it wasn't done for anything other than a political stunt/game of DuhSantis.

Also, they might be actual asylum seekers, which means they're allowed to be there legally, ergo, they're not illegal, which again was a play into DuhSantis.

Considering the Venezuelan community in Florida, they're pretty pissed by this stunt.
