While I think the press gallery should make this decision the news you get will
come from qualified main stream news people groups like rebel media and
bloggers will be ignored or not credentialed As I say only people with real news
backgrounds should be there anyway

Main Stream news people are made of many different views but they are
accepted by the press gallery and the accusation is flawed in my view.
Credible people in journalism do not run with one side or the other they
get the facts and report it. I spent some years in news and as a news
director. I have watched what is being done and I think we are going to be
worse off with the absence of news people with experience.
Those in the field that do not have credentials and are more like bloggers
will eventually face serious lawsuits for comments made and not substantiated.
I heard Ezra has been sued six times and lost everyone on them if that is the
case he is not a credible news person and should not have credentials for example

Agreed, but levant has said, while arguing against being responsible for defamation when he was being sued, that he WAS NOT a journalist. He was a blogger, a political pundit. Not a member of the media and not a journalist.
No, he said he was not a "reporter".

Irrelevant though, the owners of QMI or TorStar aren't journalists or reporters either. Does that mean staff hired as "reporters" or "journalists", should be barred from press gatherings?

But, hey, it's levant. We can't expect him to be truthful, or anything but a hypocritical, bigoted, fear mongering, liar.
Your hate is blurring your vision, I know you're better than that.

I know right, lol.

What I see is a group who wants to be treated like professional journalists but are totally unwilling to adhere to the ethical bounds of responsible journalism. The NDP took a rather large misstep in refusing entry to Rebel staffers without a clear and comprehensive policy that was equally applied to all, regardless of political stripe. They were right to take the humility route and back down until a policy review was made. It is my sincere hope that the review will result in requiring some form of recognized accreditation to gain access to government media events, accreditation that will make a distinction between someone trained in the ethics of responsible journalism and some blowhard with an attitude and a keyboard.

You mean like when the CBC has been caught using unethical journalistic practices?

Why not? They employ actual journalists. Ones that have journalistic awards, journalism degrees, years in print and TV as well as online. There is a huge difference between them and rebels bloggers.
Sheila is an accomplished journalist that includes a stint in radio.

Brian Lilly is published in over 30 papers weekly, as well as being a guest commentator on several news/talk radio shows.

And those two are just off the top of my head.

You're grasping at straws trying to denigrate Rebel journalists, because you hate Levant. You're better than that.
