You remind me of the peeps at the timmys that sit there and order up a whole specialty meal with everything done a certain way, tieing up the line up in the drive thru, you want fancy grub then go to a restaurant, drive thrus are for people that want a fast meal, sammy for lunch or a coffee.

Which brings up one of my pet peeves.............service at lunch time. Bro-in-law and I have a standing routine every two weeks we go to the casino in the morning play for a couple of hours and then stop at a restaurant for lunch. One time we made the mistake of stopping at one restaurant............"Original Joes" may have been the name of it. From the time we sat until the food hit the table was 40 minutes!!!! Most people who are working have 1/2 hour for lunch. I've always maintained there should be a bowl of soup or salad on the table within two minutes and a sandwich within 5. That's how you get and keep customers.

I really like fried onions in my hamburger. If I asked McDonald's to substitute fried onions for the lettuce, should I demand they do it? And, a sprinkle of seasoned salt - is that too much to ask? Also, maple-walnut ice cream on the Canadian side. Furthermore, call the frigging napkins serviettes! And they shouldn't say, "There you go!" They should say, "Here you are!" "There you go!" sounds so much like "Fu<k off!" Whew, I needed to get this off my chest.

Well, nothing like "calling a spade a spade".

When Im in Kindersley SK I allways hit the Timmys for a double double and a sammy, real quick and the reason is I have seen guys take 5 minutes trying to explain how they want their bagel toasted and does it have msg? Salt? blah blah. The guys in the trucks behind just wanting a coffee will sometimes just lay on the horn.
This is one drive thru where you can hear the 4 cars in front of you ordering.
These guys make fast food joints become slow food joints.

In Kindersley I ask for extra bacon and lots of it and I get it.I know they unwrap a burger and add the bacon.
When I eat at mc dees it,s because there's nothing else open.
I dont ask them to take the tomatoes and onions off though,I do that myself and toss those for the crows and seagulls that hang around the fast food joints.

Did you know that there is a Kinder Garden in Kindersley? I think the people of Kindersley must be very solicitous towards small children and bacon-fat heads.

Ya,you'll have to explain that one.
I have no idea what your going on about.

Kindersley is a beautiful small town in SK,the people are very friendly and life is good there so just what are you insinuating about the town and it's inhabitants?

Explain this part.

Kakato, pull you head out of your ass.. I didn't order a specialty meal.. I asked for NO LETTUCE!! OMG!! How hard is it for someone not to put a leave of friggin lettuce on a sandwich!!??

I eat at a lot of fast foods working on the road and I allways get a huge smile from the filipinos working there.

I have a lot of respect for someone though that would come to a new country and start a new life and even have to "lower" them selves to working at mc dees or Timmys to become a Canadian.
Those are not losers.

Well if you read my posts I give credit to immigrants for doing a job better than whites..

As for the Canadian born McDee's employees that can't take an order correctly, count change back properly and correctly.. or prepare an order correctly.. idiots.

They must have a good chuckle when they see you pulling in,here comes "angry guy",
lol!!!!
I bet they spit on your sandwich after they peel the lettuce off.

Or rub the bun on their genitals or ass first.

When I was in Calgary I sensed that anyone with a pulse would get hired at a restaurant. The service staff at all that I went to were luckluster at best.

Fast food? I'd sooner hit a grocery store for the vittles than hit a McD's. I can whip up a sandwich pretty fast.
Or get a sandwich from Quizzno's or Subway pretty fast. But then, I'd rather spend the effort to get out of vehicle and get decent food than sit in vehicle to get something that's questionably "food" regardless of what hurry I am in.

Mcdonalds - 6820 - 4th St N.w., Calgary, Alberta.. worst service,rude & ignorant.

First off I know it does not take much brain power to work at a McDonald's restaurant, so I shouldn't expect much from staff, especially if they are upper 40's that basically says failed at life.

Swiss Mushroom melt, just how many times do you think they can screw up a order that requests, "hold the lettuce." Well at this location, every time.. God if I asked for no salt on my fries they would go into seizures.

I explained to the shift leader that they didn't hold the lettuce, they just took it back and pulled off the lettuce. Yeah, no.. toss the meal and start over..period. Had to insist they toss the meal and start over..

She relies sharply, we are no robots, what you allergic to lettuce...

Well, I don't know about the rest of you.. but I'm paying my money for a product.. I want it made the way I ask.. with out the rude BS and grief..

Since this is the second time this has happen I will just wait for Carl's J and Jack-in-the-Box to make their arrival here in the Calgary area..

If McDonalds is wondering why they are losing profits.. they should start with their customer service..

McDonald's Misses Revenue Forecast, Profits Slips Due To Foreign Exchange Rates

40+ means failed at life? Maybe. However, why did he fail? Refugee from a war zone suffering from PTSD? Childhood abuse, psychological problems, traumatic life experience (death of child, wife etc.), etc. etc. etc.

Unless you know how he ended up where he is now, what's your point? Would you rather him on social security or working? So not only is he paid a pittence, but then he has to put up with your crap.

Yep, of all the McGarbage they are about the best two.

That is a misnomer, our society today seems to be obsessed about the occupation defining the person. In ALL walks of life you will find people who are honest, sincere, generous and kind and by the same token people who are selfish, conceited, lazy and mean. It's not the job you have that counts, it's how you do it.
