Oh, gimme a break! :)

The guy (to his credit) has told us what he intends to do......from the horse's mouth!

And you still deny it!

Oh my, Avro....tch tch.

The Count's agenda is not hidden.

It is Harper....or The Three Stooges......

Actually the two stooges and the puppet-master. Gilles is nobody's stooge.

He stated a fact of how our democracy works.

Go hide under your bed, it's what cons do best.

It goes to the GG to decide, not the speaker.

Sorry about that, bad mistake.

Not a problem - People get them confused because of the US System. But no way do i want iggy with as few as 80-90 seats leading the country. To much back room dealing would depend on Gilles ( Give me the money & special powers fro Ques) Ducepppe.

You know that as well as I do.

We?

If 60% of the people don't for Harper that is not a vote of confidence.

Heck, the cons in Britain formed a government with the help of the Liberal democrats.

From the article I cited in the initial post.......

When last year’s British elections failed to produce a majority government, for several days the second-place Labour Party debated forming a coalition with the third-place Liberal Democrats. The idea prompted strong negative reaction and was derided as a “coalition of losers.”
In the end, the Liberal Democrats rejected that offer and entered a formal coalition with the first-place Conservatives.

My emphasis.........

And that didn't even include the Sinn Fein!!! lol

Just a question - Do you see any flaws in the way Harper has governed the country????

.

You should read the article posted in the initial OP..... :)

Then you wouldn't look silly.....

‘What I’m prepared to do is talk to [NDP Leader Jack] Layton, or [Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles] Duceppe, or even Mr. Harper and say: ‘Look, we’ve got an issue here. How do we solve it? Here’s the plan I want to put before Parliament. This is the budget I would bring in.’ Then we take it from there.”

Tons.

He is controlling to a fault, his treatment of the Bev Oda affair was atrocious, his war on crime is silly, his pushing of mandatory sentencing is crazy, I don't like corporate tax breaks, and he is not going nearly far enough to roll back gun control. His choice of a chief of staff was ludicrous......just off the top of my head.

But this government, scarily enough, is the MOST honest we've had in decades.

On the good side, unwavering support for our allies, a rebuilt military, a government willing to thumb their noses to some extent at political correctness and China, the best offered on gun control, very little Gore stupidity, less apt to kiss Bloc arse, and a government that is reasonably clean of personal corruption, the RCMP are not used as a personal Gestapo............no mafia men in Cabinet. Willing to crack down on illegal immigration, willing to do seat re-distribution according to population, willing to reform the Senate, just off the top of my head.

Harper said he would do the same thing last erection he had. **** you Colpy, you neocon ****.

Sorry, you're not my type.

Was the "erection" thing a Freudian slip???

lol

Read back....he didn't do it, had he, I would have fought against that gov't.

And the public remebers the Libs and corruption -if hehad dropped those foolish polices he would be well on the way towards 175 seats. But the public, myslef included do not trust Harper.

He has closed dwon Access to information - Run over any independant board in the Govt - Screwed injured veterans. just to name a few to what you have added. i am comfortable with harper at the same seat level he had going into this useless election.

Lastly his plan for Seniors in poverty is a fukin joke. Only those with less than 2 k income would be eligible. Also does not explain how he will pay for the prisons, the ships, the airplanes etc. guess where it will come from. Social programs - the last freaking place that needs to be cut.

the problem is that it is, as I said before, now clearly a choice between the Conservatives under Harper with a majority.....

Or the Liberals and the Bloc with the NDP.

You don't trust Harper.....

I do trust Duceppe, and he says he wants to wreck the country. I think he's being honest.

Makes it a clear choice in my book.

Okay Mr Harper....

Could equals will only in propaganda. Reading skills in coalition?

Man you guys are going over the edge to rationalize not voting Harper. The Count was as clear as a bell.

Ignatieff Confesses!

He will overthrow the gov't, if Harper does not win a majority.

I thought your reading comprehension was better than that.

I don't know why you think that's what Ignatieff said, but if you read the quote, and have any sort of understanding of parliament (if you've studied history, as you claim, one would hope so), you would realize that is not what he said.

Do you honestly think that the GG would accept this - Not likely with Iggy at 80 seats of so - the uproar would be heard across the country - We would have another election - Harper would win a majority.

But if he approached with a coalition then Iggy would be PM - That would have to be accepted by the GG.

Now if Harper changed polices, budget etc he would govern for quite some time.

I think this is pretty clear....the Count is telling you, this is your choice.

To his credit.

...... (Ignatieff) told the CBC’s Peter Mansbridge that Canadians have a right to know what they’re voting for. “We owe it to the people to be absolutely clear and to make it clear afterwards so when the people make up their mind they know what the route here is.”

I don't get this whole Bloc fear you have going. It has nothing to do federally if Quebec holds a referendum to separate. Though the only one talking about that is Harper. But even if there wasn't a single Bloc seat in the House, it wouldn't stop a vote held in Quebec for Quebec to separate. Frankly, if Quebec did leave Canada, it wouldn't be the whole province and nothing really would change. Not like the land would get up and float away.

So why is it that you're biggest fear in the world today is a Conservative minority? The Liberals faced the same thing and managed to hold the country together. Do you have so little confidence in Harper that you would rather sink the whole country rather than have the parties work together to get things done?

Further I have to say that the idea of the NDP and the Liberals bending to some separatist wish to split up the country just to prevent the Conservatives from forming a government is god damn childish.

the problem is that it is, as I said before, now clearly a choice between the Conservatives under Harper with a majority.....

Paranoia will destroy ya....

So Saint Stevie gets out voted. Isn't that democracy - you know, that thing you say is so great?

It is that....if we don't give him a majority....I'll say one thing.....I promise you, we'll get the government we deserve.

With Iggy being honest, if Harper doesn't get a majority, the country simply ain't worth saving.
