I was beaten, dip****.

Do you not understand the difference between abuse and an obstacle? There's no need to get your knickers twisted because you tried to make a stupid comment and it backfired. Clearly your need for a personal attack shows that you have nothing more to offer.

Yet you persist in calling my obstacles "perceived."

Try to be a little consistent in your worldview. Many rewards await.

Being beaten is not an obstacle to achieving but thanks for proving my point.

Not sure it was a great move by the store in this case. Women tend to be more sympathetic than men of gays and the transgendered. Women are also the bulk of this shop's business. So she lost this guy's business, and she'll probably lose a bunch more business just from the negative impact of the story and targeting by equality groups.

Yes it is. But you wouldn't know that.

And I certainly have nothing to offer you.

She had stated in the article that she was going to have SRS (sexual reassignment surgery). Anyone that is going to have this surgery has to live full-time as a woman for at least a year (or even two years perhaps). The reason for this is that once it is performed there is no going back, and if the person has a last minute change of thought then they aren't left with a decision that they may regret for the rest of their life.

For me, there is no grey area. If a transexual identifies themselves as a particular gender, then that is what gender they are (as there are both transexual women (they were born men, but are transitioning into women) and transexual men (they were born female, and are transitioning into men. Chaz Bono is an example of this). To me, a transexual woman is a woman. NOT a man. To think otherwise is disrespectful to her. She is also not a CD or a man in a dress. A crossdresser and a transexual woman are two totally different things.

Therefore, she should have been allowed to try on the dress. For her, this is not a fetish or a whim. This is who she is.
