Until this year the only income my wife had was $50 a month CPP and a $5,000. spousal rrsp that she would cash every year, and until this month the total family income was low enough to receive the guaranteed income supplement....so that is definitely not rich....
but I don't consider myself poor since I retired with the house paid for and no outstanding debt...

I owned a house outright 20 years ago, but circumstances changed so that is no longer the case, on the plus we live in a far better house today.

Got me wrong as usual. I didn't vote for Trudeau's Liberals in the last election and I won't vote for them in the next one. I just have a problem with ignorant right wingers blaming someone for problems he didn't create.


And I agree with your comment on income splitting. It was a brilliant way to gain a few retirees votes. It is unfortunate, however, that Harper did not find a way to replace the lost revenue.
