Too bad none of your fake news sources matter. Green energy is now as cheap or cheaper than coal or oil and is likely to get cheaper. The world is going green whether you like it or not.
That is why gas is $1.36 a litre . Our we using less gas now ? Vancouver airport is seeing more flights every year ( think green travellers ) . Port of Vancouver seeing lots of cruise ship traffic this season ( more clean green travellers ) and still seeing increases in commercial traffic ( both coal ports operating 24/7 ). If we keep up the good work we should be completely green soon .

But just in case you are interested the creation of green energy projects has outstripped fossil fuel increase. Cherry picking your facts won't change that, primarily due to two facts: 1. Green energy production is now cheaper than fossil fuel energy and getting cheaper as green energy tech improves. And 2. People want clean air. Fossil fuels cannot provide that.

Trump proposed trimming $3.2 billion in fiscal 2018 from one benefit program and saving another $20 million by reinstating a practice of rounding down veterans’ annual cost-of-living adjustments. The savings from both would be used to expand VA services into the private sector through a new version of the Veterans Choice Program, according to budget documents.
The legion, along with other major veterans organizations, had previously warned against sending too many veterans into private-sector health care, at the risk of eroding VA resources.
“It is a ‘stealth’ privatization attempt, which the American Legion fully opposes,” American Legion National Commander Charles Schmidt said in a statement. “Choice should not be advanced to the detriment of cost-of-living increases for veterans.”

So what? Nothing I posted states that there will be any rapid switch to green energy vehicles. There is, however, a definite historical parallel when it comes to the challenge facing the internal combustion engine. When automobiles were first developed few people bought them for a variety of reasons. The first was the cost. Most automobiles were too expensive for the average person to afford. The second was their reliability. Early automobiles were notoriously prone to breaking down. And the third was the lack of decent roads. As I am sure you are aware all three problems were solved. Currently affordable electric vehicles are just on the horizon, but within a matter of years they will become commonplace. I doubt I will live long enough to see the electric car take over, but perhaps you will.
