The earth could support infinity people.

Just not all at once.

How Many People Can The Earth Hold?

Earth’s dwindling resources can’t possibly support 7 billion people.

You're dreaming. The combines will break down. The Africans will walk away from them. The experiment will end and Saskatchewan will be shipping sorghum to Africa.

As of now we need 3 Earths to support the population we have now without major harm to the Earth.

As is now with our predicted growing population. The Earth will not produce enough food to feed the populace by 2030. Not including the droughts caused by global warming.

That's a no brainer unless we quit building cities and houses on arable land!

Been hearing this for 40 years, only the date given at that time was 2000 for when massive starvation and droughts from pollution and global cooling. They were wrong then, I'm sure they are wrong this time.

The planet is obviously finite. Therefore it has a finite amount of resources. That include land and nutrients for food . A finite amount of atmosphere. As our population grows we use more and more and create more and more pollution that destroys whats left of our resources. Simple math. Common sense. There are too many people on Earth. Earth definitely doesn't need more.

The only way to solve the problem is stop having babies like we do and or change the way we live and abandon capitalism and total freedom. There has to be strict rules on what you can do with our environment.

I wonder if the Earth is so big we can not possible fill it.

Look how empty Canada is. Thats why smart Trudeau is trying to fill it up.

The people that are most concerned should eliminate themselves from the gene pool. As for the rest of us an increasing population means business will continue to grow and thrive.

Too many people will reduce the spin and we won't have any gravity.

Twenty years ago I would have agreed with your idea of a finite earth. There are no isolated autonomous fragments anywhere in this universe, every bit is interconnected electrically/plasma. This planet has endured civilizations far in advance of where we humans imagine ourselves to be today. The planet is littered with evidence supporting many rises and falls of populations.
This planet regularly endures cataclysm both by fire and by ice. Right at this moment we are experianceing a schedualed solar minimum which we hope will peak 2030 or so. There will be mass deaths by starvation and war. Population control is a certainty already being addressed by the great lie of global warming. It is quite reliably stated that those populations above 45 degrees both south and north will experiance the imposibility to conduct agriculture as we have during this just passed peak of solar availability responsible for the production of the present population numbers.
It has been said that three billion humans will starve to death and or freeze in the next forty years. The present reported over population does not represent any threat of any kind to this planet, the threat is to the human masters of earth and thier fear of loosing control. I wouldn,t worry about population reduction too much. The fix is already well advanced by those aformentioned human masters who are well aquainted with efficient past population reductions of quite amazing scope.

We can always get spin from the mainstream media
:)

When there is prosperity the birth rates drop to less then replacement.
;)
'till the homeless camps start up like in the democratic peoples republic of California.
Then the "nothing else to do" sex happens along with the "can't afford birth control" babies.

This land outside Maputo provides a snapshot of Africa’s agricultural choices: Will its food be produced on giant, leveled plantations like Bananalandia (at left) or on small farms, called machambas? “It must be a mix of big ag and small,” says Dries Gouws, the sprawling banana farm’s founder.
