Interestingly, there are more Canadians on the Bruin team than on the Canucks, if I am not mistaken.
NO! REALLY?!?! When did that happen?!
Your point?

Have been busy commenting for the Canucks on various newspapers this morning, trying to buoy up those so-called fans who are dumping all over the team. Just love bandwagon people - they are soooooooo predictable. I must admit, I had my own little lapse of faith after game 4 but listening to Team 1040 yesterday got all my mojo back and I am so ready for tonight's game.
I'm a bandwagoner and I'm not ashamed to say so. The Vancouver Canucks are mostly neither from Vancouver or Canucks (though they have more Canadians than any other nationality). They are foreigners and non-Vancouverites hired by an entertainment company pretending to represent Vancouver. Now, Vancouver is a multicultural city, and I would be all for Americans, Swedes, Finns, Quebecois, etc. being accepted as members of our community and playing hockey for our amusement, but let's be serious: most of them are probably just visiting.
So I don't really feel the same community association with the team that many city residents and other British Columbians/Canadians do. I'm a bandwagoner in that I support the team and watch the games when they play well, or in other words, when I can be entertained. Despite not believing the Canucks truly represent my city, I still get that sense of community because everyone else here believes they do, and I can join them in that collective emotion. When they win, I can cheer with my neighbours, but when they lose I can detach myself and not feel bummed out like everyone else. Being a bandwagoner is the best of both worlds. Look down on me if you want, but tonight after the game I'll be in a good mood regardless. Even if we win, the rest of the city will be worried about the Canucks collapsing again in the next game.

you are obviously detached whether you are on the bandwagon or not, not a canuck fan, or a hockey fan,
just someone who wants to be part of some excitement, and if that excitement goes away, you will look
for some other type of excitement.
enjoy yourself.
Wouldn't that be the same for really any pro team?
But they are representing your city.
I have no finger nails left now.
yeah, that was tense for sure, and yes, I would love for them to win in boston on monday, just
to rub it in their faces, bunch of morons.
Why are we a bunch of morons? Why would you want to rub it in our faces? That's not very polite.
I was disgusted with the boston team, in boston, those are the morons, it would be sweet to win it
there.
a little sidenote:
hansen, and two other canucks were in a restaurant in boston, ordered their lunch, waited for over
30 minutes, then the waiter came over to them and said, "sorry we are out of food", a bit moronish
I would say, they had to leave, and try another restaurant.
