They are probably getting into playoff hockey mode at just the right time. Vancouver- Montreal final!-:)

wasn't that great, I'll never forget his career in vancouver, I saw every game he played, he was so
exciting and talented, the best player canucks has ever had.

If you don't count Stan Smyl or Trevor Linden! And Harold Snepsts would be a close 4th-:)

canucks have had many players much better than smyl and harold snepsts, and he was much better than
linden.

we are talking hockey talent, pure and sweet and the fastest skater canucks have had, and he could control
the puck at very high speeds, then put it in the net with such finess, there is no comparison.

I've always had a lot of respect for work ethic and dedication, some people are not born with natural talent but they try hard to make up for it in other ways. Those are my heros. -:)

yep, and bure worked hard every game, skated miles, scored many many goals, more than any other canuck
has ever scored, he loved the game, played like a kid who couldn't wait to get on ice.
He didn't lack anything, he just wasn't a person who connected closely with the media, and I would never
blame him forthat, and he also had good reason for leaving, but he didn't want to go to the media and
whine and sniffle about his problems with management, he dicussed that with them behind closed doors, but
he felt that he had been treated unfairly by the club, so made his decision to leave.

I would never put him behind linden or smyl or any other player who became a favourite of the community
for reasons that have nothing to do with actually playing the game.

Canucks have had lots of players who didn't put out 100%, then were traded off, bure certainly was not one
of those.

We, in our family have been totally involved in hockey since my husband was a kid, then our kids came
to love the sport, and played for years, and we all followed bure's career very closely, watched all of
his games, even after he left vancouver, and now he is in the NHL hockey hall of fame, good for him, he
deserves that for sure.

A player like stan smyl, had to work very very hard every game, or he would not
have been on the team, because he lacked talent, the team is so much better now,
and a player like smyl would never make todays team, but that was the way it was
back then, the canucks were fairly new team, building.

good win for canucks tonight, although they were not the better team for much of the game, just happened
to score some timely goals, while schneider was performing miracles at the other end.

but that is all part of the game, we have a goalie now who is so solid that the team can feel very
secure and trust him when they fail to protect him. He made some fine saves tonight.

calgary is playing loose now, nothing to play for, a bunch of young guys who are playing without any
pressure on them, and that does make the game come easier, just have fun, play loose and show everyone
they can beat any team. I'm glad canucks are 'not' in that position.

ryan kesler will be back in the line-up tonight, good for him, I wish him well, hope that body holds
up this time, and I hope he has learned how to play the game a bit 'wiser', so that he can stay in
the line-up.

I was waiting for him to get injured again, watching him crashing into the boards, and 'not' playing the
game with much common sense, he is better on the ice than walking around in a cast, although the last
injury was from blocking a shot, so that could happen to anyone.

Good news about Ryan, talloola................I also hope that he will play 'a bit wiser' as he is a real asset to the team.

good for kesler to score the first goal, although it wasn'ta highlight goal, it was a result of hard
work.
canucks were by far the better team last night, but smith was the story, with his stellar goalkeeping.

with kesler and roy in the lineup now, the team has the centers it badly needed, very strong down the
middle now, and vineault can distribute the remainder of the forwards thoughout he lineup as they
fit best with each other.
I like kassian with kesler, and roy with higgins was an immediate fit.

Hope they can stay healthy now, playoffs jus around the corner.

Next game on wednesday in calgary.

Yes. Canada should be in pretty good shape going into the final. And if it goes to a goal count, we've
got more goals than anyone.....;-)

haven't actually been sitting and watching all thru the women's games, but have been following highlights,
and results.

well I guess things don't stay solid for canucks, now higgins is injured, sprained knee, won't be on the
trip at all, and neither will tanev, as he is still healing.

hopefully both of them will be ready for playoffs, but who knows, oh well, they will playwith whomever is
going at the time, that is just the reality of hockey, and most teams have one or two injuries, most of the
time.

The Avs just beat the Canucks 4 - 3
Luongo was brilliant in the game before when Schneider was out with the flu. Schneider was interviewed
before the game and he didn't look good. I don't know why they started Schneider. Go figure...

canuck defense was poor tday, lots of mistakes, bieksa needs to smarten up, first goal was his fault,
and I saw so many plays during the game where canucks were hemmed in their own end, schneider made many
very good saves, as score could have been many more for colorado.
