I wonder how many Stanley Cup Championships there have been where the losing team outscores the winning team with total goals.

There's a great potential for that if you're not a Boston fan.

Probably a lot, I was thinking we should be allowed to bank goals when we beat S.J. 7/2, but now I'm giving it a second thought.

canucks had a great first period, after that it became rather interesting

many canuck individuals had their worst two periods in the playoffs.

boston won the game by many goals, too bad for them, they could have saved
many of those goals for future games, but now they have wasted them,
too bad. lol

sure glad thomas didn't get the shut out, ha ha. some satisfaction for me there.

not much to say, just looking forward to next game.

GO CANUCKS GO

Guess every team has a stinker once in awhile- wish Cherry had kept his mouth shut tonight. Hope Talloola is all right and not suffering from a stroke. At 4/0 I turned the T.V. over to the grandkids....................had to reduce the blood pressure.

i'm just fine, losses and bad games will never bother me all that much, but I do think about the
'fans' h hmmmm, who might be drinking themselves to death, or looking for the nearest bridge to
jump off, makes me snicker.

The nervousness I had at the beginning of the playoffs went away long ago, as now canucks have gone
long enough to spare their lives from the hands of deranged fans who want their heads because they
lost. I'll never be like that, ever ever.

I get very excited during the games, totally involved in the play, love the game, always have and
always will.

I want them win just like everyone does, but if they don't, i'm just fine, still love them, and will be
their to watch them as long as I walk this earth.

There was an element of violence in this game that was border line vicious, and I
was hoping that we wouldn't end up with injuries.
That doesn't include the Rome hit, that was so fast, he was not moving into the
player, and too bad his shoulder got up a little high, and the hit was a bit late,
but the chippiness of the game and the cheap shots were very bad, and if we all
saw both teams stand 'naked' we would be amazed by how many bruises and gashes and
welts many of them have after a game like this, as well as how many they have from
previous games.
Some think they don't earn their money, but they definitely do.
And by the way, their contract does not include playoffs, they don't get payed in
playoffs, although the team who wins the cup does receive some sort of payment,
don't remember how much.

Can they recover from hockey's equivalent of a stroke? Forced to play with that 5 D that early was a disaster. I hope Hamhuis returns. Henrik looks like he's hurt.

They came back from the 7-1 drubbing at the hands of the Blackhawks. To be honest, I think they'll be fine.

What is "derp"? This ridiculous jargon contrived by computer whiz kids gets to be a bit much! :p

Right along with the usual idiotic and over-used gems like 'lol', 'roflmao', etc.

Having said that, I am sure (well, at least I hope) that this loss was nothing but a bump on the road.

LOL isn't too bad, but you have to wonder what kind of idiot lies on the floor laughing his head off at every turn.

YukonJack; Having said that said:
Sure hope so, just hope that idiot blabber mouth Cherry didn't jinx them last night. Did you see that idiotic f*****g suit he was wearing? He's a bonafide nut case if there ever was one.

I began to wonder how many players would be left on the benches as one after another from both sides started marching to the dressing rooms. There were so many nasty, nasty slashes and hits that the refs either didn't see or refused to call - talloola was right - these guys must look like they've been hit by a Mack truck after last night's game.

We had to lose one to bring the game back to Vancouver, so mission accomplished in real headline making style. The Canucks will be just fine and back in great form on Wednesday - just hope that Julien walks his talk to the players about all the nastiness.

People that are going nuts about last night's game should lighten up a bit, IMHO.

The only people who drag a game like last nights along with them and bring it into future
games, are 'fans', not 'players/coaches'. Just like luongo said last night, I've been there
before, I can handle it.

I'm concerned about their power play, it is their bread and butter, but hasn't been showing up
in this series, so I would like to see them get that going again.

Rome will obviously get at least one game, maybe two, so I'm wondering how they are going to
juggle their defense. I know alberts was put in because of his size, and I agree with that move,
they were fine in game two, but many of the defense crumpled, along with others in period two and
three last night.

Maybe they will put ballard/tanev tandem in and take alberts out, as those two play so well together.
But, alberts does have the size, and with rome out, who is also physically tough, not sure if I would
give up all that muscle.

'BULLETON' rome was just given 4 games, which I consider very heavy, but its done now, so rome is
gone for the duration.

Canucks have played short of defensemen much of the season, so they can adjust just like they have in
the past.

The one thing I notice last night, before the roof fell in was this, (and I mentioned it to my
husband at the time), canucks seemed to be taking boston too lightly, making casual passes, flicking
the puck to each other, and looking like a team that just assumes they have the other team in control,
and that came back and slapped them in the face. SO I will take a positive view of the game, and
know that canucks will NOT have that attitude toward boston again.
A team can't take that attitude against ANY team, it will always go against them.
Canucks should have scored a few goals, didn't do that, luongo can't score goals
for them.

I heard a few people criticize vineault because he asked luongo when it was 5-1 if he wanted to come
out and Luongo said "Don't even think about it". I understand where Luongo is coming from, he sees
his team struggling, and he doesn't want to be given a favour, and protected, he wants to stay in
there and battle with them, 5-1 isn't any different than 8-1, so I agree with luongo, and it is
only that game, not the norm.

I guess they gave rome 4 games so that he isn't on the ice again in this series, thus, it avoids any
retaliation against him, or anything emotional at all, I don't agree with 4 games, but I guess I
understand the reasoning, they don't want any more stupidity, like we saw last night, they want the
teams to get back to playing hockey, just hockey.

Did you see Lucic apologize for being an 'ass' on the ice, very comical, and he was an 'ass', poking
his finger toward burrow's mouth 'over and over', what a baby, his coach was all over him after the
game, and that is why he apologized.

ok, time to move on, last nights game is history now, don't dwell.

GO, CANUCKS, GO!

The only one that really looked like he got hit by a mack truck was Horton. Yikes!

I don't know about anyone else, but if someone is maliciously sticking their fingers in my mouth I'm going to bite them, too! The one act is no less reprehensible than the other.

And if I was burrows I'd have been giving those offered fingers last night a severe twist in a direction they don't naturally go.

yeah, I agree, Lucic was being an ass.

it's funny how apologies don't really "make it better".

Crazy azz Canadians! ;)

I wonder where the Canucks are tonight? They're not in the TD Garden, that's for sure.

I hope whomever was there shows up for the next 3 games.

yeah, last night their Canadians played better than our Canadians. heh heh

You stole the line I was going to use after Game 2!

Your Canadians are just better than ours. But last night our Canadians played better and hope they continue.
