They're also predicting the sun to rise in the east each day unless you're really far north and it doesn't rise at all for a few weeks because it hasn't set.

Northern Ontario,
It could be hotter tha one might like. The extended La Nina is coming to an end and if the El Nino starts soon this could be one of the worst. It has not arrived yet so we may just have a hot winter instead.

But they were not! 2005, 2007 and 2010 were all warmer than 1934 in North America. That freak summer is now history.

Actually, I was putting you on there to see the response. The hottest summer in the US, by a tiny margin, was 1936. The hottest year may have been 1934.

But that is totally meaningless in the context of global warming. The hottest years were those I gave. The USA was local.

There are no three overlapping cycles causing global arming. There is one culprit and one only. Carbon emissions.

1934 to 1936 was natural and short lived.

Ready! Aye ready!

All bullshyte without a single link for proof...and you expect to be taken seriously????

We aren't in La Nina conditions right now. The ENSO is in the neutral range right now, and is forecast to remain neutral throughout this summer.

And as for solar maximum? This current solar cycle is currently one of the weakest in a very long time:

Let's be liberal with what is expected, and say that in the next six months the peak sunspot number is 125. Well there is nothing out of the ordinary about that number at all. See for yourself:

There's nothing really abnormal about a warmer than average summer with less than average preciptiation. That's weather for you...

What is interesting to note, is that new research has been identifying causal structures with respect to the jet stream, and blocking patterns that form:
The researchers analyzed observational data collected between 1979 and 2010 and found that a decrease in autumn Arctic sea ice of 1 million square kilometers -- the size of the surface area of Egypt -- corresponded to significantly above-normal winter snow cover in large parts of the northern United States, northwestern and central Europe, and northern and central China.

The analysis revealed two major factors that could be contributing to the unusually large snowfall in recent winters -- changes in atmospheric circulation and changes in atmospheric water vapor content -- which are both linked to diminishing Arctic sea ice. Strong warming in the Arctic through the late summer and autumn appears to be enhancing the melting of sea ice.
The same blocking patterns can result in warmer than normal conditions on the other side of the jetstream. I bet this will make deniers head explode, more global warming can mean colder snowier winters.

Facts are a bitch.

And as I successfully predicted 3 hours ago, petros (and the climate deniers) have nothing.

It's okay Wally 2 out of 3 factors still persist and la nina effects aren't done with until convection patterns mellow out by Sept.

Ya, don't forget to convection bake for 420 degrees and cover with tinfoil.

You should take it seriously since it is serious business. And, it needs no links unless you are completely ignorant and unfir to discuss with adults.
It was your back pedaling and dishonesty that had me laughing at you at first, but now it's 'unfir' that has me laughing even harder.

The unsubstantiated statements in your posts actually negatively impact the side of the argument which you embrace for every other poster on that same side.

Meaning....that I wouldn't want you on my side in an argument...

This is great news! Last couple of summers have sucked the big green one.

Good for business too.

Thanks nature.

In the bush near Sudbury
I would have liked to have hauled a lot of deadfall out of the bush around here. Environment people say no way. Good thing the water bombers are based just a ten-minute flight away and there's a good body of water between....
