Grain dust and flour are quite explosive, you know....
Dig a silo into the ground about the size of a grain elevator and put in enough dust so when a spark is introduced it fires a heavy weight upwards and when it comes back down it can spin a genset. Set it up so it's own weight is enough to heat the dust up to ignition point and then it pretty much runs itself once you figure out how much dust it needs. Think of all the combine pilots that will be dusting their machines off daily. Who said chaff was useless?

I don't know about that one, but certainly they weren't printing the whole truth wiht respect to the Malaysian airliner shot down. They neglected important evidence that may have swayed people to suspect rebel involvment. As far as integrity, RT is up there with FOXNews and the Sun News Network.
If Kiev was at fault they would have reason to interfere with the collection of material from a site before any further fighting went on. If Kiev anounces that they are using balistic missiles against the rebels then any parts to such a missile can be claimed to be from that incident rather than from the passenger jet being hit, accidentally or on purpose. The blame it on Russia isn't gaining any traction and now that the US has shown it can acquire/supply photos that show scorch marks then if the 'other side' is 'leaving marks by using the same systems' and those could be published.

If Fox and 15 other western news media published what RT left out the perhaps RT was only shortening the time it spent on that subject rather than it being an attempt to bury what is already widely published in the West. Omission of facts is a Western tactic so don't act all shocked and everything.

Well, we'll leave that discussion for the apprioriate thread, but the fact is that RT is jiongoistically equivalent to "news" outlets such as FOX and Sun--that is to say they are more important in evangelizing a particular political position than they are in enlightening viewers.

Your point is what? The only pics getting out are the ones Israel wants out. They will simply claim he put himself in harms way.

In terms of 'balanced reporting' this site carries news about Syria 3 days before the West does, if the West ever cover the story that is.
I'll leave the hyprocracy comment for another thread in that the aid wouldn't be needed if the US was not involved in the first place. To be truthful I would be more impressed if it was going to the children at their southern border as we speak. How does the US justify that expense when it's own homeless numbers are swelling.

... Or they bombed a known weapons depot... The UN were the ones that came clean on this, but only after they returned the weapons to 'the local authorities'

Not Israel's fault that Hamas prefers to hide behind the skirts of school girls
Probably Israeli duds that didn't go off from the last round of bombing. Repeat, if there when the location was hit there would have gone off and that would have been noticed even from a long way off.

Correct. All the blame should be put onto Hamas for deliberately placing it at a school in the first place.

This line of reasoning is plain retarded. If a bunch of criminals- let's call them Group H- took hostages and the police- let's call them Squad I- went in without care for the risk to the hostages, Squad I would be raked over the coals. Rightly so.

Folks like you that comically portray this as good guy v. bad guy, well the good guy is the good guy because they care about what happens to innocent bystanders. The good guy doesn't blow up the building to get the bad guys. Not without a very good reason.

Civilians are the target in total war. If you read history you'll find many examples of killing the civilian populations first to deny the warrior safe haven and support. Don't believe the modern BS about war, they all lie about it anyway. How many tiny villages were torched in Vietnam? Look at the Ukraine, those aren't mistakes. It's the preferred tactic of professional terrorists.

Baloney.

Although certainly reflecting a conservative point of view, both Fox and Sun News allow the other side to be expressed, and provide an arena for debate.

In fact, they are both at least as proficient at presenting both sides as the CBC......and Fox is MUCH better at presenting all sides than ANY of the other MSM in the USA. (who are so tied up with the Obama administration it is beyond belief)

A variety of news outlets is a healthy thing.

I heard a rumour that Fox was getting better actually, though I never watch it. I flick by Sun News occassionally and frankly find it amateur to the point of humour. I certainly didn't see any indication that they explored different sides of political issues. I recall that they were running a marathon tirade against Shiny Pony during the Boston Marathon bombings last year, which should tell you something about where they stand.

Again, you may want to consider that your point of view of these netowrks may be colored by your own bias.

RT is unabashedly natonalist. That's pretty evident.

a little jocularity from our clever friends at msnbc

MSNBC: 'Keep it right here on Morning Jew'...

That's hilarious....and an understandable slip of the tongue.

Yeah...I never watched Fox, still don't. But in our patrol truck at work we have Sirius, and one night I turned it on to hear O'Reilly just starting. I had heard what a right wing looney he was, so I kept listening for a laugh.

His "Talking Point" lead in was on the opposition to gay marriage.

O'Reilly said "The ONLY thing the opposition has going for them is bible-thumping"

WHAT???

The second segment was on pollution in New England rivers.

O'Reilly was advocating for executive responsibility on top of company fines, and bemoaning the fact that you could not throw culpable CEOs in jail.....

WHAT???

Just a minute, I thought this guy was CRAZY right wing???

Since then I have heard him defend Obama when others would not..........etc.

I also think his views on marijuana are ridiculous, and he can be overbearing and rude. He is also sharp, and not anywhere near a right wing looney...........I like Fox. I understand why it is the highest rated news channel in the USA.

As for Sun News, yep, it is a little amateurish. I HATE when then show their female newscasters in their ads, and have them turn into profile...I can just hear the director "Push'em out Honey" Yuck.

BUT for debate?? Best place in Canada. ABSOLUTELY no doubt. I really like Evan Solomon on CBC, but Sun goes at it 24/7, and touches things the CBC would simply ignore.

People always have there own view of media.

I have heard for years about the liberal media....yet.

CFRB is right wing.

AM640 is right wing.

The Post is right wing.

The sun is right wing.

The Globe is to the right.

The star is liberal.

The CBC is to the left and I don't like it.

CTV and Globetv are just news readers.

....and then there is the mounds of crap on the interent.

And you seem to be in the tiny minority of people who think there should be differences in how civilians are treated. Like I said, it's retarded. Not even in the pejorative sense, in the sense that such a stance is one step back from the progress afforded to civilians in war zones. Iran happens to feel the same way you do. Small comfort I guess?

My problem is not necessarily with there being rules, my problem is that ONLY Israel is expected to abide by them.

And when the enemy hides among the people, and brags about how eager their own people are for death, you are left with little choice.

The truth is NO MILITARY ON EARTH has EVER gone as far as the IDF to avoid civilian casualties.

That said, the primary responsibility of the IDF is to defend ISRAELIS, not Gazans.
