You forget this is the age of information, they have internet up there now and the rest of the world can now see, lot's of help coming now, this is a good thing.
It's too bad you allmost have to shame some to get them to do their due diligence like the govt has sorely lacked in.

Dump, untill you go walk a mile in their shoes then dont judge them,These folks are are tougher then any city slicker.

But why be tough and sick as hell, likely to die young? They're shoes don't look so good.

Newsflash: Asia and Africa have millions of poor people, I'm sure they're in shock over this. I wrote this before, but it bears repeating.

I punched "Attawapiskat" into google and got no foreign media. Must be a big story in India I'm sure.

Why thank you for the compliment but unlike some others, I've never claimed to be an expert at anything. The only thing I'm fairly good at is exposing hypocrites. To bastardize a line from Catcher In The Rye, "Hypocrites hate it when you call them hypocrites"
Is that why you throw hissy fits when I point out your hypocrisy?

I'm sure in your delusional world, making false claims that the COO of NWW perjured himself to two government bodies, is how you move forward, and fix the problem.

Is there a principle you claim to have that you won't wh!re out?

Why are you so upset and why do you always have to talk about me? I mean....I'm flattered and all but you really need to get beyond your obsession.

It won't happen until people stop listening to the special interest shrills like CB and start start focusing on actual problem solving. Step 1 is to identify the problem.
That's one. There are literally dozens around the board.

Hypocrite.

So there isn't a principle you claim to have that you won't wh!re out.

Good to know.

You're the one that says it's a problem.

Nope, I say it's entertaining. It could be a problem in the real world but since I would never take people like you seriously in the real world it's not really even a problem there either.

Is that why you exert so much energy and emotion in this?

We already know that your posts are a waste of time.

We? Are you suffering from MPD again? Why to you get so upset by posts that you consider a waste? How come you didn't answer my question about casinos? How come you don't know what hypocrite means? So many questions. So little time.

You must have lost your shirt at the casino, you seem very upset.

Was it a Native casino by chance?

That would explain a lot.

$50K per head per year? That is about the same cost as a putting someone in the hoosegow.
They would be lucky to see 15 grand of that and at $10 or more for a litre of milk, that would not go very far. Some reserves are prisons of the mind and soul. The alcoholism and teen suicide rate would indicate a feeling of no escape.

What are the budgets of the reserves, and who controls how the money is spent? Do we still believe that every problem is solved by someone else? I have no idea what these reserves have or don't have, but I'd want more information before suggesting a solution.

Indian Act of Canada

I. Introduction

Indian Act of Canada, law designed to integrate Indians in Canada into the mainstream economy and culture. Introduced in 1876, the act allowed the Canadian government almost complete control over how Indians lived and interacted with non-Indians. At the same time, it gave the government special responsibility for the health, education, and lands of much of the Indian population. The Canadian Parliament overhauled the act in 1951 and continued to amend it significantly throughout the remainder of the 20th century. While the more recent changes allowed less federal intrusion, the government still exercised a large degree of control over the lives of Indian people. In addition, the government's control of the Indian population actually worked counter to the act's stated goal; the act isolated Indian people from mainstream Canadian society instead of integrating them into it. Just to give an idea where Attawapiskat is: Scroll north...;-)

The railroad goes as far as Moosonee, which is about thirty miles or so from Attawapiskap. Building a rail
link to Attawapikap would be a long term solution to most of these problems.

Who should foot the bill?
