Help with travelling to Canada

so, let me get this straight.
you had a business, a career, a home, family, a successful life, etc etc.
you gave it all up to immigrate to another country of your choice, of your own freewill, at your own instigation.
this country accepts you and allows you to move in and bring all your family and start a new life.

and for this, you complain. you whine. you denigrate canada and canadians.

how absurd.

Canadian Observer, it is not that easy to emigrate to the US. You do require a visa to move to the US from Canada .If you are in the process (as you say ) of doing this, you might want to start talking to the immigration lawyers down here. I've been here five years and I have just reached the point were I can apply for citizenship. This gives me an inkling of why you had trouble in Canada.

Hey marry claire, peapod, and zzenfisher do u have msn if u do please write me ur emails because i think i have to talk to you because this issue has ruined my head and i'm still not sure is canada good or bad for me to immigrate and plus i'm not married, i'm not anything i'm still in high school canadian observer seems not to get that, thats my last year in school.

Well toast I am working on some links for you, I am not done, but when I have them together I will send them to you in a PM. Here is a little story for you tho.....

There is a family in my neighbourhood ( I know everyone in my neighbourhood ) they are from kosvo. They came to Canada with nothing, could not even speak english. They spent a year in Nova Scotia ( A canadian province) learning the basics of Canada. They settled where I live...Victoria B.C.

To make a long story short...they worked hard, and at times even washed dishes for awhile...10 years later they both have good jobs, they bought a house a few years ago here in Victoria which has some the the highest real estate prices in Canada. One son is training in the police force and the other will go onto college next year. Dreams have come true for them that they never dreamed possible..

Through them I have learned to appreciate all the things I take for granted. They love this country and their graditude and appreciation for it make me giddy :wink:

An immigrant would be forced to wash dishes if his chosen profession was learned in his/her original country and was unable or unwilling to be evaluated.

If you learn a profession here (Canada) then you don't have to be re-trained or take an equivalency test. Mind you, this is usually reserved for Doctors, Engineers, and the like.

Toast, have you checked out the demand levels for your choosen field?

This website could help you learn what kind of salary to expect. What the demand is for that job. And such. I hope it helps.
