Admit to your shortcomings and stop the denials . Canada is this , Canada is that ...... the reality is there are a lot people who are so bitter in your midst. Why dont you read the postings on that canadaimmigrants forum for a different perspective.

Try to check facts sometimes . Dont take on me.

Do it and I may stop bitching . It will be a long battle RB and co.

It seems to me that you are the one afraid of criticism, CO. Why didn't you answer the questions I asked? Why are you having trouble? Maybe we could make some suggestions that would help, but you won't tell us your situation. Instead you sit there on your arse making vague accusations.

I doubt there's a person here who hasn't criticized Canada and Canadian policies at some point. Some of us heve even criticized immigration, refugee, and work visa policies. Your ridiculous accusation that we won't make such criticisms has no validity whatsoever.

You showed up here to whine about Canada. You won't even tell us the situation so that we know what the hell you are talking about. You are acting like a spoiled child who didn't get the toy he wanted at Wal-Mart. How much respect do you think that will get you? None...actually, less than none. You've managed to dig yourself a hole.

You can start trying to get out of that hole or you can keep on digging. Your choice.

It doesnt matter where I come from RB . I am going to continue fighting for our rights . We did'nt accept the invitation just to become your factory workers and janitors. We have excellent education and skills. We deserve equal treatment.

What can you do for me ??? Ask your govt. for help ??? The government dictates almost everything . If not , the supreme court will . What elections ????

You will find on this forum that if your aren't completely painted green(NDP) there are many who will attack you. Your arguements(regardless of how good or bad they are) or irrelevant. They gang post to try to intimidate and when their "logic" fails some of them make personal attacks.

I don't necessarily agree with everything you say, but acknowledge that alot of what you say is true. We have far too many professionals from other countries driving taxis and working at fastfood places. They don't have the money to attend school and besides most of them are too proud to accept social assistance but would rather stand on their own two feet.

Oddly enough I know some immigrants just exactly like that. One of them even worked as a janitor for a time. He had to take some night courses to upgrade his education to Canadian standards. Now he designs houses and seems to have more money than Roger Penske. Since Penske is rumoured to have more money than god, I'd call that a success story. (I'm getting ready for race season, can ya tell?)

Lemmee see...I know some immigrants who are photographers, some who are government employees, some who are writers, some who work in various construction trades, some who are mechanics.

That's a pretty wide spectrum. Most had to take at least some classes, either through work or on their own, to get accreditation for their trades here in Canada. They did that though, usually while working lesser jobs, and now they are comfortably middle class or higher. Imagine that.

How come everybody uses this line? It doesn't matter which side of a debate you're on people on the other opt to use this cheap cop out Why would anyone expect not to have their opinions questioned when they post them on the WORLD WIDE WEB.

Canada are very dangerous. So dangerous that Canadians cannot even trust each other. They have no faith in their own breathren and cannot even trust themselves. Would you trust this kind of people?? Canadians come in only 2 forms. One is the extremly scared that even a mouse will cause them to piss their pants literally, uncontrollably and embarassingly. The second kind of Canadian is always mad and full of uncontrollable levels of hate and rage literally, uncontrollably. But that doesn't mean that the chicken canuck isn't dangerous as they have a very nasty habit of summoning the raging canuck to go after you.

Canadians fear existence itself. As long as anything exists Canadians will have something to hate and fear. Canada is the L-A-S-T country that anyone would even consider "civilized".

Canadians don't know much about the world as they claim they do. Infact very often they are even more ignorant then americans themselves. The canuck thinks that the worst things only happen in canada. that is not true. they don't know this basic fact. as this fact is basically non-existent in their heads.

So mr.thread starter you said you need help. Help as in the fact that the evil Canadians are holding you hostage for ransom????? Don't worry me and the UN are currently sorting things out ASAP. Lets hope these Canadians are willing to negotiate a deal without loss of life. I sure hope the keep the promise of releasing you.

The UN and the eygptian embassy has promised to pay the ransom to you Canadians. I hope Canadians you will keep the promise and release the hostage.

Finally on to the point to answering Twila's question. My personality is very different in real life compared to here.
If you Canadians really want to be "nice" and "civilised" then please do learn to:

1)forgive mistakes

2)eliminate negative emotions don't feed them

3)build self-esteem

4)learn not to whine brag and cry like a little kid over little things.

5)tolerate and accept the way the world is. sorry but you can't have the world the way you want to everytime.

6)quit wasting energy on things that you cannot change. use the energy on things that you can change.and I mean good way. so none of that imperial conquest stuff. I know what is on the minds of Canadians.

7)learn to help people who help you and be nice to people who are nice to you. I think someone lost an arm to a Canadian just for being nice to them last time.

8)pick up a book at the library or bookstore with the title:
"How to become Civilized 101" by Joe Smith.

Canadians don't know this. This is non-existent in their minds. just quietly and peacefully accept it.

That reminds me of a guy I used to with. When his family came here from India they brought what we would consider spring jackets.

They changed planes in Toronto and most people were dressed pretty much like them. They got to Winnipeg and it -40. Imagine the shock.
