At 14% it would be stong smoke but it's ground up stem leaf and all, last report s that I read indicated that it's dangerous to smoke because the chemical fertilizers have not been properly leached from the living plants. Anyone I've talked to who gets it says its gastly tasteing crap thats hard to keep lit.

I love it when Beaver and Juan get on their horse about the U.S.

Between the two of them they managed to flip a Canadian product into controlled by
the U.S. in about five posts...
What weedy thinking....the price is probably high because the packaging has to be
printed in two languages hahaha....

Whatever happened to heaven sent B.C. Bud - the finest in the woild.

If you bothered to read about the whole subject rather than taking a hysterical jab at some imagined anti-American slight in a single post, you would know that "B.C. Bud" has already caused problems with the U.S. drug enforcement people. In my post I suggested that legalising pot would further antagonize them. You want to see that as anti-American? Go for it.

Right Juan is that a clinical diagnosis or a frothing epithet? Thanks for the red rep mark too!

B.C. Bud has been smuggled into the U.S. for years. That's a problem with the government - and it should be. It has nothing to do with the topic here.

Why Canada isn't using it for their medical pot I have no idea - but it isn't because of some American rule even in your fevered imagination. You were the poster who brought the U.S. into it as if they really cared what the Canadian government sells their medical marijuana for.

""I would be very interested to learn how they got from $328.75 per kilogram to a $150.00 for one gram. The $9.06 packaging fee for each gram is pure usury, and ridiculous usary at that. Now they want to get rid of any competition. Who's running this program? The Mafia?"

How does someone apply to possess marihuana for medical purposes?

An application must be submitted in writing to Health Canada. Application forms and guidelines are available online or by calling Health Canada toll-free, at: 1-866-337-7705. Applicants must provide a declaration from a medical practitioner to support the application.
Where does Health Canada's supply of marihuana come from?

In December 2000, Health Canada contracted Prairie Plant Systems Inc. (PPS) to cultivate and produce a safe, standardized, homogenous supply of marihuana.
Can applicants grow their own marihuana?

Yes, if you are authorized by Health Canada to possess dried marihuana for medical purposes, you can apply for a Personal-Use Production Licence or apply to have someone grow for you with a Designated-Person Production Licence if you are unable to grow your own.
Has Health Canada issued a Notice of Compliance?

It is important to note, and it is important that applicants understand, that no Notice of Compliance has been issued for marihuana for medical purposes. A Notice of Compliance is a letter of approval from the Therapeutic Products Directorate of Health Canada indicating that a drug has been assessed and has complied with the Food and Drugs Act and Regulations regarding safety, efficacy and quality. These regulations set out the necessary contents of the submission for a Notice of Compliance. All drugs sold in Canada must have a Notice of Compliance.
""""Health Canada, in turn, sells the marijuana to a small group of authorized users for $150 - plus GST - for each 30-gram bag of ground-up flowering tops, with a strength of up to 14 per cent THC, the main active ingredient. That works out to $5,000 for each kilogram, or a markup of more than 1,500 per cent. """"

Governments behave increasingly like the bloody Mafia.

Wanna gamble? Gotta use their machines.......the boys quickly shut down anybody else.

Wanna buy booze? Guess who has the monopoly?

Now they're dealing dope at massive profits......not that I have a problem with marijuana, but what ever became of free enterprize?

I just waiting for them to get into the prostitution and protection rackets.

Actually Colpy, we ARE basically occupying the planets prime source of Heroin, and that stuff could be marked up WAY more than pot I'd expect

And as you, Curiosity- I guess you don't read much news eh?? There are PLENTY of instances of the US "drug czar" criticising our country for what we do with regards to marijuana- veiled threats and all. You know, the US is NOT perfect, I am surprised that someone so supposedly knowledgable could believe that the "sole superpower" could be a wholly benevolent, altrustic power. The US does good and bad things, and in this case they have, IMO, overstepped our sovreignty too many times
