I think that anyone who lost their house to flooding should move away, and not be allowed to rebuild. It's obviously a poor choice of place to live.

Well, Einstein perhaps you can let us know what is a good choice of a place to live. I guess by your enlightened logic anywhere on any coast would be a poor choice. Floods are just one threat, added to earthquake, tornado, wild fire, ice storms, unstable slopes!

It's Gawd punishing us for something or other.

According to TP it's for being stupid! :) :)

Well, JLM, perhaps you can learn to be polite. If you recall, that's what people said after Katrina. it's the same reasoning.

How are you so dumb?

“The human contribution can be up to 30 percent or so up to the total rainfall coming out of the storm,” he said. “It may have been a strong storm, and it may have caused a lot of problems anyway—but [human-caused climate change] amplifies the damage considerably.”

Can be and may have . Hmmn well that is settled then .

F*ck off and go buy some Silver on EBay or something... filled with lead.

980 million cars, millions of factories and you can see that is affecting our climate... you're stupid.
Go buy another big rig .

Yeah probably. We're into a whole new era now for whatever reason. Climate change works for me but for others it's something else.................who's to know for sure? We have to accept the fact things are different and there is a possibility there are very few perfectly safe places on the planet left for safe location.

No link to climate change in there. They danced around it.

Kind of hard to link a hurricane in the gulf to climate change. Be like linking snow in the Arctic to climate change.
OK flossy would show his stupid by trying.

Wtf is a stupid comment like that supposed to prove?

Houston, you have a problem, and some of it of your own making

That you are stupid.

It may be 40 days...

They are claiming it will be over a month for all the rivers to get back to their original levels..

And another 12 inches of rain today in rural areas - just to think that a break.

Normal winter where I come from.AN inch an hour for 24 hrs straight has been known there.

Nom de plume? Mississippi.

Ocean motion

“This is one of the untapped areas, looking at salinity across the globe,” said Michelle Gierach, a research scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California. To measure sea surface salinity (SSS) from space with an accuracy equivalent to one-eighth teaspoon of salt per gallon of water, NASA and the Argentina Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales (CONAE) launched the Aquarius/Satélite de Aplicaciones Científicas (SAC)-D mission in June 2011.

While 3.5 percent of Earth’s ocean is salt, freshwater added to the ocean dilutes salinity values. For example, strong rains across the equatorial Pacific from South American to Indonesia form a band of low salinity water. But warm areas with much evaporation and little precipitation increase salinity. So the atmosphere and ocean respire as one giant organism, exchanging breaths between seasons, even days. Within each breath is a redistribution of heat and salt.

The locals are saying that this is the best federal response to a hurricane ever
( globalcommunazi's lied again about this being a Trump failure, as usual)
;)
According to the governor of Texas on the radio anyway

Well, it turns out it WAS THE DEMOCRATS PREVENTED THE STANDARD WARNINGS and EVACUATION NOTICES in order to try to blame trump for the damage. the democratic mayor of Huston ordered a STAND DOWN of the relief effort.

How SICK can you get.

That's because the scientists told him all was ok, and there was no need.

"Harvey upgraded to Category 2 hurricane as it nears Texas
Aug 25, 2017,

Hurricane Harvey is expected to hit Texas as a Category 3 storm — the likes of which hasn't been seen since 1999's Hurricane Bret — when it makes landfall late Friday or early Saturday, forecasters say.

The storm officially became a category 2 hurricane as of 1 a.m. on Friday with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph, according to the National Weather Service, and was expected to continue to strengthen over the next 24 hours. The storm remained a category 2 hurricane throughout the early morning hours on Friday, reaching maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. Projections were for it to reach about 120 mph by the time it makes landfall. It was located about 180 miles southeast of Corpus Christi as of 5 a.m.

Landfall is expected about 250 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, but hurricane warnings are in place from Brownsville to Houston. Tropical storm warnings extend inland to San Antonio.

The storm surge could be life threatening, up to 12 feet, with waves as high as 20 feet above that. Rain is expected to range from 10 to 20 inches, and some areas could receive up to 30 inches. Perilous flash flooding and 115 mph gusts are possible."

These were the standard warnings that would normally be issued.
This was as stated: political

Ps
I don't do BS well, so back yer sh!t up eh?

The best response according to locals.

You have....facts to back that up?

I will say, the head of FEMA Brock Long seems to be on the ball....better than Brownie for sure.

Solid pick by Pence.

Well sure....

So locals say it's the best response ever....try to focus.

You have facts or anecdotal evidence?
