Oh Ok I'll wait for your expert opinion just like in the Ukrainian war

Pointing out the idiocy of your statement doesn't mean I'm an 'expert', it just means that realistically, the "rats" as you call them will not be so easily pushed to fight in the open. If you didn't know that by now you haven't been paying attention.

Of course if by rats you mean Palestinians and not specifically Hamas, well, then supporting murder of innocents isn't exactly a surprise either.

Woman punched for being Jewish with no consequences

Olga Goldberg was punched in the punch Sunday for merely holding a poster of a female hostage in Gaza who is a friend of her daughter
Olga Goldberg was punched in the punch Sunday for merely holding a poster of a female hostage in Gaza who is a friend of her daughter
You might have a difficult time convincing Olga Goldberg there is no anti-Semitism in 2023 Toronto.

She knows it exists — and has the bruises to prove it.

One bruise is on her face where she was punched. Another, figuratively, at least, is in her heart because she never thought her beloved hometown would become unsafe simply because she’s Jewish.

But that’s what has happened in Toronto. It’s a dangerous place for Jews now.

One day there will be a reckoning for that reality and, perhaps, justice. Right now, Jewish Torontonians are trying to endure the out-of-the-closet anti-Semitism raging in Canada right now. They know what’s going on, and so do those who are shamefully condoning it.

While she can live with the bruises, Goldberg — a mom and finance professional who has lived in Israel and Toronto — is less understanding about what Sunday’s mob of protesters on University Ave. did to her small poster featuring an image of her daughter’s friend, Mia Schem, who was kidnapped in the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.

“They ripped the poster in half and also stomped on my Canadian flag,” said Goldberg. “That upset me more than being punched because this is about a 21-year-old girl who is still a hostage.”

But those hostage posters are a bone of contention for the those who are on the side of Hamas terrorists.

They don’t want to shine any light on the evil that Hamas inflicted on innocent Israelis on Oct. 7. People rip down the posters from poles or pull them right from people’s hands. It does not change the barbarism that stole more than 1,400 lives in one day and saw Hamas kidnap around 230 hostages.

Goldberg was also surprised members of the crowd carried terrorism flags and chanted anti-Jewish slogans just steps from the Cyrus the Great, Iranian Canadian unity rally at Queen’s Park, which was held in support of Jewish people and peace, with PC MPP Goldie Ghamari, Independent MP Kevin Vuong and others in attendance.

“I never thought I would see at the corner of College and University people calling for Intifada and genocide,” she said.

But there it was. And there they were: unashamed, unabashed and unafraid. They literally feel they have an open road to express anti-Jewish sentiment and are using it.

Olga said she wasn’t holding her poster up high or putting it in anyone’s face, but merely clutching it as a reminder that Mia is still missing. Someone in the crowd didn’t like it and rushed her, and punched her so hard that 48 hours later, she still has a flat lip with purple colouring.

“I couldn’t tell who did it,” she said. “Everybody had a mask on.”

An anti-Semitic coward did this.

A bunch of these thugs are committing acts of intimidation all over town – whether it be outside of Jewish businesses, restaurants or even threatening to kill a doctor. Olga credits Toronto Police for pulling her back behind their line to safety.

But she was still assaulted for merely standing on a street in her city and trying to focus attention on a family friend who has been kidnapped.

In Canada, that is something she is free to do.

Perhaps somebody – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Premier Doug Ford, or maybe Mayor Olivia Chow — should tell that to those who assaulted her.

Divisive British politician Jeremy Corbyn met with embattled MPP Sarah Jama

British politician Jeremy Corbyn met with ousted NDP MPP Sarah Jama this week.
British politician Jeremy Corbyn met with ousted NDP MPP Sarah Jama this week.
Jeremy Corbyn, the divisive far-left former leader of Britain’s Labour Party, has thrown his support behind embattled MPP Sarah Jama.

Corbyn, who was Labour leader from 2015 to 2020, met with Jama via a video conference call on Monday, a week after she was expelled from the NDP for calling Israel an “apartheid” state following Hamas’ terrorist attack in early October.

“Thank you @jeremycorbyn for meeting with my office today,” Jama shared on social media site X. “We cannot remain silent while Palestinians suffer in the face (of) genocide,” she added, along with hashtags #CeasefireNow and #EndTheOccupation.

Jama now sits as an Independent MPP.

The Canadian-based advocacy group Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs shared a meme featuring Corbyn and Jama that suggested they were aligned against Israel.

“Sarah Jama, who was recently removed from the Ontario NDP caucus, meets with Jeremy Corbyn, known for his #Antisemitism & who was ousted from UK Labour,” the group wrote.

Two weeks ago, Corbyn posted to X that Israel was responsible for air strikes on Al Ahli hospital in Gaza that killed up to 500 patients, doctors and those sheltering inside.

However, intelligence sources in Canada, U.S., U.K., France and Israel determined that a failed rocket launch within Gaza — and not Israel — was to blame for the deaths, despite immediate claims by Hamas that Israel was at fault.

Corbyn has not deleted the post, but continues to campaign for a ceasefire.

Jama, who represents Hamilton Centre at Queen’s Park, was kicked out of the NDP’s caucus Oct. 23 following statements made on social media about the ongoing “violation of human rights in Gaza” by Israel which did not mention the massacre of Israeli civilians.

The terrorist attack by Hamas on Oct. 7 left at least 1,400 Israelis dead, more than 3,400 wounded and more than 200 held hostage.

“We are seeing this definition of apartheid in real time through the continued violation of human rights in Gaza through the use of white phosphorus chemicals, the withholding of food, fuel, electricity and water, and the destruction of the only exit from Gaza that isn’t controlled by Israel — the Rafah border,” she stated.

Jama was criticized by NDP Leader Marit Stiles, Premier Doug Ford, interim Liberal Leader John Fraser and Jewish organizations. Stiles asked her to remove the statement and apologize. A day later, Jama apologized in replies to her statement, but didn’t delete the original post.

“To be clear, I unequivocally condemn terrorism by Hamas on thousands of Israeli civilians,” she wrote. “I also believe that Israel’s bombardment and siege on civilians in Gaza, as was also noted by the United Nations, is wrong.”

The move to oust Jama from the NDP happened just before the provincial legislature voted to censure her.

I guess I lost something in the translation from UA English to Canadian English.. SAT55. I was not aware that Old Donnie should be at fault. I try to place old Donnie at fault if it is apparent that he is said to be involved. I follow that he has some 90 + indictments pending implies to me that the courts have evidence saying he is guilty. If he was innocent, he would not be spending his time and cult donations to defund his position, he would be in court, with evidence of innocence. Delaying a trial says to me that he does not have any chance of winning the court cases.

So is it a tragedy, or just their piss poor luck to live there?

Regardless, there is NO justification for this:

All those decades of "Special Nazi Hunters" going after Nazi's, and they can't/won't go into Gaza to get those terrorists? Maybe the Israeli's weren't so "Great" at being 'hunters' to begin with and everything about them is over-hyped.

For this specific insanity:

"Discourse on the 2023 Israel–Hamas war
On 17 October, 10 days after the start of the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, 880 scholars of international law and genocide signed a public statement saying: "As scholars and practitioners of international law, conflict studies, and genocide studies, we are compelled to sound the alarm about the possibility of the crime of genocide being perpetrated by Israeli forces against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."[32][33]

The statement called on UN bodies, including the UN Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect, as well as the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to "immediately intervene, to carry out the necessary investigations, and invoke the necessary warning procedures to protect the Palestinian population from genocide."[32]

On 19 October 2023, amid the 2023 Hamas–Israel war, 100 civil society organizations and six genocide scholars sent a letter to Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, calling on him to issue arrest warrants to Israeli officials for cases already before the prosecutor; to investigate the new crimes committed in the Palestinian territories, including incitement to genocide, since 7 October; to issue a preventative statement against war crimes; and to remind all states of their obligations under international law. The letter noted that Israeli officials, in their statements, had indicated "clear intent to commit war crimes, crimes against humanity and incitement to commit genocide, using dehumanizing language to describe Palestinians." The six specialist genocide scholars that signed the document were Raz Segal, Barry Trachtenberg, Robert McNeil, Damien Short, Taner Akçam and Victoria Sanford.[34]

The same day, lawyers at the Center for Constitutional Rights stated that Israel's tactics were "calculated to destroy the Palestinian population in Gaza", and warned the Biden administration that “U.S. officials can be held responsible for their failure to prevent Israel’s unfolding genocide, as well as for their complicity, by encouraging it and materially supporting it."[35] On 1 November, the Defence for Children International accused the United States of complicity with Israel's "crime of genocide."[36]"

Of note, Raz Segal is an Israeli historian who deals with the Holocaust. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raz_Segal

His opinion on this - aside from signing the letter to the Prosecutor - is "In the context of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, the Israeli counterattacks, and the imposed complete blockade, which included the denial of water, food, power, and fuel to the civilian population, Segal described it as a "textbook case of genocide" and connected it to the Nakba, the expulsion of Palestinians during the establishment of Israel in 1948.[2][3]"

Hamas are known to be exactly what they are, terrorists and following no actual laws.

Israel is supposed to be BETTER than that. They are PART of the Geneva Convention, and thus are beholden to those laws.

They can't just say "oh those don't apply" when the situation suits them.

There is protecting themselves, which they are absolutely right to do, and then there is what they're doing now, which is a gross overstep of their power to genocide of the Palestinian people of Gaza.

Israel's government is no shining white knight standing against the evil Arab. They are just as vile and bloody as Hamas. Maybe worse because they've conned the rest of the world into siding with them.

Texas model completed Israeli army training days before terrorist attack
Megan Daniels, 19, is now on the frontlines of war against Hamas terrorists

A Texas model who chose to delay higher education to protect and defend Israel is now on the frontlines of the war against Hamas.

Megan Daniels, 19, kept her word seven years ago that, after graduating high school, she would move to Israel and join the army.

“Megan, I think, hatched this plan when she was on a visit to Israel in middle school,” father Eddie Daniels told Fort Worth NBC affiliate KXAS recently. “She wanted to be a part of supporting Israel in the way that she thought was best and that was joining the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).”

Daniels, who is an Israeli dual citizen serving her mandatory military service, was on duty in Tel Aviv on Oct. 7 when Hamas attacked and killed 1,400 people and took more than 200 hostages.

She had just completed basic military training days before the attack, her family said.

“(Megan) just said, ‘I’ve seen so many pictures that are forever burned in my head, and I’ll never be able to get them out’,” her mother, Taryn Daniels, told ABC affiliate WFAA of their last phone call.

Her parents said three of her fellow soldiers who she bunked with have been killed, while a friend’s boyfriend was taken hostage.

“I think at first, kind of like on 9/11, there’s a little bit of disbelief because it’s a surprise,” her father told KXAS. “Each time you peel the onion, it’s more and more surprising. So, I think there was a lot of fear of what are we not knowing. What happens next?”

Her mother said the family is proud of her bravery despite their fears.

“I think she would do it again if she had to,” she said.

Her father said she called to say she was OK before news of the attack reached the family.

“I think a lot of us are here feeling helpless,” he said. “How can this be happening to our family, our friends and innocent people? And we feel powerless. We can’t do anything about it. But in a bigger sense, a macro sense, she can do something about it and she is.”

Top Hamas official warns of further attacks until Israel no longer exists
Author of the article:Spiro Papuckoski
Published Nov 01, 2023 • Last updated 1 day ago • 2 minute read

A top Hamas official said the militant group is prepared to repeat October’s terrorist attack on Israel time and again until the country no longer exists.

Ghazi Hamad, a member of the Hamas political bureau and deputy prime minister, also said Palestinians are willing to pay the price and that they are “proud to sacrifice martyrs.”

“Israel is a country that has no place on our land,” Hamad said in an interview with LBC TV in Lebanon on Oct. 24, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

“We must remove that country, because it constitutes a security, military nd political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and must be finished. We are not ashamed to say this, with full force.”

The senior Hamas official also said that Israel must be taught a lesson, and warned of multiple future attacks.

“The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight.

“Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.”

Hamas forces killed more than 1,400 Israelis in the Oct. 7 attack that targeted mostly civilians and a music festival. Around 240 hostages were also taken from Israel into Gaza by the militant group.

Hamad, however, said Hamas didn’t want to harm civilians in last month’s attack, but there were “complications on the ground” during the operation due to the festival and large area covered.

But he did call for the annihilation of Israel and the occupation of Palestinian land to end.

“The existence of Israel is illogical. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Period,” he said. “Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On Oct. 7, Oct. 10, Oct. 1,000,000 – everything we do is justified.”

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, the death toll in Gaza has reached 8,525 since the war broke out.

It’s good to have goals?
Ghazi Hamad, a member of the Hamas political bureau and deputy prime minister, also said Palestinians are willing to pay the price and that they are “proud to sacrifice martyrs.”
At least they’re proud while sacrificing martyrs.
“Israel is a country that has no place on our land,” Hamad said in an interview with LBC TV in Lebanon on Oct. 24, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute.
…& there’s where the two state solution fits.
“We must remove that country, because it constitutes a security, military nd political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and must be finished. We are not ashamed to say this, with full force.”
So….he’s not in favour of a two state solution then?
The senior Hamas official also said that Israel must be taught a lesson, and warned of multiple future attacks.
Wouldn’t these attacks continue regardless of what happens, as long as Israel is provoking Hamas by existing?
“The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight.
Eyes wide open.
“Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.”
…& that’s where the human shield of the entire Gaza (this time) population fits in this situation for Hamas. How do you fight back against something like that?

Hamad, however, said Hamas didn’t want to harm civilians in last month’s attack, but there were “complications on the ground” during the operation due to the festival and large area covered.
“Complications on the ground” like the festival goers existing, leading to their up close and personally hunted and murdered or raped or kidnapped, etc…complicates his own narrative.
But he did call for the annihilation of Israel and the occupation of Palestinian land to end.
In their charter for Hamas.
Hmmm…the “existence” of Israel is what causes all that pain. Damn those Israeli’s for their existing?
Oh, good! THAT should get 'em to quit stomping your nuts,
How “do” you fight someone on your doorstep whose goal is to make you not exist?
According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry, the death toll in Gaza has reached 8,525 since the war broke out.
Huh…it’s ugly. What should Israel do and have done? Just curious? I’ve asked the same of Tech above also.

This is the here & now, not with the “Way Back Machine” but with the cards currently dealt. What should Israel do?

So is it a tragedy, or just their piss poor luck to live there?
Under Hamas, who will attack repeatedly, with no qualms of sacrificing Palestinians as martyrs to drive up the scoreboard.
Regardless, there is NO justification for this:

It’s been nearly a month since Hamas’s horrific attack on Israel’s civilians, during which the terror organization raped women, killed children, brutalized the elderly and took hostages.

Gassy Hamas deputy-PM type spokesman made it clear this will repeat & repeat. In other words, they took the exact page from the terrorist handbook of al-Qaeda, Islamic Jihad and the Islamic State group.

You are correct, Hamas is a Terrorist organization, and it’s also the governing body in Gaza. It has strong support from Iran and its Lebanese Shia proxy Hezbollah. Since it took control of Gaza in 2007, Hamas has invested heavily in building its capacity for terrorism by using billions of dollars’ worth of international aid to build weapons and terrorist infrastructure, instead of spending that money on its own citizens.

Hamas operates from the underground tunnel network of Gaza and uses the population living on the surface as human shields. As part of this strategy, the terrorists hide ammunition in schools and base their fighters under hospitals. What should Israel do? How should they have responded?

(Me? I was in favour of just opening the Mediterranean into the Hamas tunnels, but the ground is wrong. Too porous, sandy and old coral like the Yucatán, so that won’t work in this case, so that’s out.)

Sea-killer. What did the Med ever do to you?
I was just mentally planning on expanding its border, to a pre-1967 level, under Gaza, leaving the surface intact, beyond bombed trenches between the mediterranean Sea and the main tunnels already known about, leaving the civilians and their buildings on the surface alone and intact, who would not or could not leave even with advance warning to the south of the Gaza Strip, minimizing casualties/martyrs, but the ground is just to porous. Wouldn’t have worked.

It could have potentially taken the ground assault down to two dimensions, removing the VietcongX10 tunnels out of the equation, at least partially, including everything that was in them as far as weaponry goes.

Glad you gave it up. The east Med is already polluted badly enough!
