Nonsense. Look at all the things firearms and water have in common!

1. They're both made of matter.

Umm. . .

2. They can both be used as weapons (though only one was purpose-designed to be used as a weapon).

3. They can both be used for non-weapon purposes (though using guns as doorstops or inferior hammers kinda wastes money).

4. They're both. . . umm. . . in the dictionary.

5. They're both. . . hmm. . . essential for water-skiing.

See? That's five things just off the top of my head guns and water have in common.

They both easily make the top 10 list of things to prep for the up coming zombie Apocalypse

Firearms in the hands of good people don’t get a great deal of attention in a media environment that thrives on the mantra, “if it bleeds, it leads.” Capturing and conveying the importance of the individual lives saved in armed citizen stories requires more time and more legwork from journalists.

Restaurant Cook Shoots Armed Robber, Protecting 20+ Lives In Detroit

Customers at a Detroit restaurant are calling an employee a hero for shooting an armed robber that pointed a gun at customers during a Sunday morning holdup:

Police say the robber was an adult man who was attempting to rob the Pete’s Grill and Coney Island at 1400 East Outer Drive on the city’s east side.

“Next thing I know, I saw everybody getting down on the ground,” said Robert Felton, of Detroit, who was inside the restaurant during the robbery. “This guy was robbing the place. He had the gun on everybody. He was telling everybody, ‘get to the register, I want the register.'”

The employee shot the man, killing him.

“Next thing I know, I hear a bunch of gunshots,” Felton said.

Felton told Local 4’s Nick Monacelli that the robber was telling everyone not to move and was waving the gun back and forth.

“It was a good thing, because the guy was threatening everybody,” Felton said. “There had to be at least 20 people in the restaurant. The guy that works here, he’s a hero. He’s really a hero.”

It isn’t clear at this time whether the cook who shot the robber was carrying a concealed weapon, or whether he had the firearm placed somewhere in the building. What is clear is that Detroit homicide detectives investigating the scene are looking at this as a presumed case of justified self-defense.

Firearms in the hands of good people don’t get a great deal of attention in a media environment that thrives on the mantra, “if it bleeds, it leads.” Capturing and conveying the importance of the individual lives saved in such attacks takes more work and requires more time and legwork from journalists than does simply pointing a camera at victims or their anguished families.

But these lives saved by a good guy with a gun matter all the same.

Domino’s Driver Stops Armed Robbery… But Will He Keep His Job?

A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was targeted by a pair of armed robbers who were waiting for him outside his Hollywood, Florida, store after returning from deliveries.

They wanted cash. He gave them lead instead:

A Hollywood pizza delivery worker fought back against a pair of would-be robbers, shooting and killing one of them overnight Wednesday, police say.

Hollywood Police are investigating the shooting which happened just after midnight outside a Domino’s Pizza located at 5737 Hollywood Boulevard.

According to initial reports, the delivery worker was returning from a few deliveries when two suspects approached him and attempted to rob him.

The driver was armed, and pulled out a gun and shot at the suspects. One was killed, while the other got away and remains on the loose.

Witnesses claim that the drive fired six shots at the two suspects, and one of them apparently died at the scene while the other escaped.

A Domino’s employee at the location today confirmed that the driver was physically okay after the attack, but stated that they could not say anything beyond that because of the active police investigation.

Domino’s has an official corporate policy forbidding their employees from using or carrying firearms while on the job, even though drivers have one of then ten most dangerous jobs in the United States. They have fired employees in the past for defending their lives and the lives of others, but have modified that position in the past when large groups of gun owners threatened to boycott the chain if employees were fired for using a firearm in self defense against robbers.

Sarah Cherry, an Army veteran and Byltheville, Arkansas store manager, was able to keep her job after public outcry when she drove off a trio of armed robbers in January.

Other disarmed Domino’s employees have not been so lucky.

We hope that gun rights groups rally around this unnamed Domino’s driver in Florida the way that they have rallied around other robbery survivors in the past.

Of course, if Domino’s reversed their weapons policy—or simply chose not to have one—then we wouldn’t be having this discussion every few months.

If that employee gets fired then every self respecting customer should boycott the place until the driver (hero) is reinstated!

Yup. Good analogy. Everybody knows that water was designed SPECIFICALLY to take human life.

You know. There isn't much else to say. The gun brain deaders will never see the logic in not shooting other people. Of course they also believe in a fairy man in the sky and no health care, so they are not really Canadian.

'nuff said. (not really)

Northern Ontario,
Some people seem purposely blind to the fact that heavy crime usually occur in very specific demographic area, but will never admit it because it wouldn't be politically correct and worst.....they could be called racist !

From what I can see, heavy crime occurs in pretty well every demographic area. Some of the elites just don't think their type of shenanigans like tax evasion, drug importing and skulduggery count as crime. I would venture to say the worse crime area in Canada is in a few block section of Ottawa where the senators reside! (Oops I forgot that is not their actual residence). :)
