There was one corperal at the base I worked on had around 18 years in and had never been deployed outside Canada and was proud of it. He had figured out how to manipulate the system by changing trades and some other things to avoid going even on a policing duty. I would venture that is more of a coward than some one that chose a career that paid well. Also we never had a draft.

I always found our NBCD training to be thought provoking and sobering, even though I was only a teenager and we all took it seriously ... where I was, anyway.
