Well, I'm done ......Not going to debate about whether a particular gun can kill more or less people/animals in a certain amount of time.

Whether it meets a gun company's criteria as an assault weapon, it managed to kill off 49 people and injure near the same amount. What exactly do you consider an assault to be??? An assault is something that does dire harm in a very short time. It is uncivilized, unsporting and murderous.
All most reasonable people hope at this juncture is that something is finally going to done to limit the carnage that has become such a frequent occurrence in America.

look, i’m not the type who needs constant validation, and i have never sought preferential treatment from anyone. I just try to focus on doing what i do and not get too caught up in what people think or say about me. But i have to admit, it’s been hard to ignore all the support and appreciation i’ve been receiving lately, particularly over the past several years. That’s why i want to take this opportunity to let all of you know what an absolute honor it is that you continue to value me over countless human lives.

For the rest of y'all gun-banners, you sound like idiots going after one make and model of rifle.
Here's the cold fact: 95+% of the homicides by firearm committed in the U.S. are committed with handguns. Comparable percentage of suicides (it's actually kinda tough to shoot yourself with a long gun).
If you had any intelligence at all (I know, crazy, but just work with me for a second), you'd go after handguns (which are already the most heavily regulated firearms, so yay, you. Well done on all those gun controls that completely failed to stop handgun homicides).
But you don't. There's a mass shooting and y'all start jumping up and down and shrieking.
Fear and ignorance ain't the best basis of policy decisions.
Or maybe it ain't only fear and ignorance. Maybe y'all just don't care much about the largely black and brown victims of handgun violence. You're clearly far more upset about 49 gays, or 26 cute little white kids and their teachers, than you are over the 10,000+, again largely black and brown, who were or will be killed in the same year as those shootings.
