Here is something I will remember for a long time out of the mouth of a three year old.
Last night I had to take the dog out for a walk and our Great Granddaughter asked if
she could come. It very dark and rural here on the farm and we took the flashlight and
she was dressed up warm. All of a sudden she stopped in the middle of the driveway.
I asked her what's wrong and she said Im scared.
I told her when she's with grandpa she need not be scared we'll see she's looked after.
About halfway back to the house she stopped being a chatter box. I asked her if she
was still scared. Her reply.

"No I'm not scared, we talked about it

They do listen and they can be reassured and we still wonder sometimes what a three
year old is thinking don't we.

There is no better shadow and I get to answer so many questions
She also knows at the end of the driveway across the road is an
old country store with a candy section. It all comes with an English
accent at her mother is from England and spends a lot of time with
her.
I've taught her how to pick peaches and cots as well as apples and
she makes sure her older bother picks them right too. You are right
no better shadow to have.

I have wonderful news. I am looking in on a cat. I don't have to feed or water her just check to see how she is. Fuking thing is scared to death. Layed on floor with her hiding under the bed yesterday for an hour to get her out. She came out wouldn't let me come near her, peed and ran back.

Today when Ichecked on her, no treats had been eaten. She came out let me touch her and ran back under the bed.

Five minutes later.............YAY she emerged. Let me touch her, brush her, ate some food, drank some water and played for 20 minutes. I seriously thought friends were going to have to come home early. Sooooooooooooo happy for her and me.

Thank you Sal! I like to read through the exchange of ideas no matter how funny or serious posts could be. I think I like this better than Facebook. I just searched on Google coz I miss forums. Won't fit with forums where people only talk about games, you know. Glad to meet you all!
Happy to meet you, as well. I hope you have lotsa fun here. :D

Its just that she is a chatter box and wants to go everywhere grampa Fred goes
I think at times she is my shadow.
Awesome! I have a 3 yr old like that, too. Wish we could be together more often but he's a 4 hr and a bit drive away. Happy little gorilla, he is and he's got most of his Auntie Suzie's personality.

lol Cats are funny when they're newbies to the home. My bit of good news is that wifey found a recipe for orange cake that is as close to superb as I can think of. Damn yummy stuff! And even better news ...... there's some left. :D

I just submitted a story to a new anthology that was accepted. Should be in print in a few moths, I'll also be doing the cover art for that book. THe 2nd edition of Equinox should be out soon fron Great Old Ones Publishing. New cover on left:

After a great deal of thought I decided not to embrace this retro 40's look.

And last but not least I am down to the last four or five chapters of the new book. Acadia Event. Then the grind of editing begins.

Congrats Mark.

Please burn that sweater though. Thank you.

Unless of course, K bought it for you. In which case, nice sweater buddy.
