Yes, the -- U.N. is plotting against Jews -- kind of right, lol

If you think the UN is NOT bigoted against Israel.....then you haven't been paying attention.

“On the first day of the war, Israel targeted police stations and 250 martyrs who were part of Hamas and the various factions fell.” He added that, “about 200 to 300 were killed from the Qassam Brigades, as well as 150 security personnel.”

I guess the equivalent would be if Libya bombed a police station in the US or Canada, since we are at war with them. If some of the police were in the military reserves, does that make the entire police station and everyone in the building legitimate targets? Also who are the other 150 people who were killed at the same time.

Also, Hamas calls everyone who is killed by Israelis a martyr. Even women and children. So that term doesn't translate to soldier or militants.

Regarding the IDF herding 50 men, women and children into a building and then dropping a bomb on it. That is only one of about 150 documented incidents which could be war crimes. That one may have been an accident like Israel claims, but try explaining why Israel blocked ambulances from evacuating the wounded for 4 days as children died of dehydration next to their mother's corpses.

When I read Goldstone's statement, I get the feeling he just wants his life back. This guy and his family have been harassed continuously since he agreed to lead the investigation about two years ago.

Even the IDF investigations conclude their soldiers have committed war crimes.

For example:
IDF soldiers convicted of using 11-year-old as human shield in Gaza - Haaretz Daily Newspaper | Israel News

While Israel has done their own investigations unlike Hamas, they are hardly transparent or impartial:
A/HRC/14/NGO/31 of 28 May 2010

I can't help it that you are so ****ing obtuse that you think the Hamas rulers of Gaza let armed units exist that are NOT a part of Hamas.....Hamas and the police train for operations together....you can try and twist it all you like, but the FACT remains....the police were part of Hamas, combatants arm-in-arm with Hamas, and a legitimate target.

The report has been repudiated, it is no longer a reliable, nor a neutral source of information...

You are more radical than Hamas in your hatred of Israel, no matter how you try to dress it up.

And you have been shown, like Hamas and the Goldstone report, to be absolutely full of it.

The evidence is simple.

1400 killed.

700 plus Hamas fighters dead, their military wing crippled.

A civilian death toll one tenth that expected in modern war.

In the most densely populated place on earth.

That means Israel took exceptional steps to avoid civilian death.

That means accusations of war crime on the part of Israel are BULL ****!

That means YOU!

Depends which part of the UN. The General Assembly consists of many nations who have good reason to be hostile towards Israel. But whenever something comes before the UNSC, the US usually uses their veto to protect Israel. Jewish only colonies in conquered territory is a clear war crime and on the scale Israel does this, its a crime against humanity. When the time came forthe US to chosse sides, they used their veto to side with the war criminals illegally cleansing Palestine of Palestinians.

Back on topic. I think this explains why Goldstone rote his statement on April Fool's day:
04.04.11
Judge Goldstone defends role, but feels distressed
Former judge complains that close friends kept away from him and some family members even had reservations about his cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council.

Judge Richard Goldstone told associates several months ago that ever since publication of his report on Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, he has been in great distress and under duress.

He complained that close friends kept away from him and some family members even had reservations about his cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council.

Last year, a Johannesburg synagogue initially said it would not allow him to take part in his grandson's bar mitzvah.

Goldstone told Haaretz's Akiva Eldar at the time that the bar mitzvah was an event of joy "after much aggravation," and added that he was very upset by the witch hunt and accusations against him. He was particularly offended by a Yedioth Ahronoth article about verdicts he handed down to black defendants during the apartheid era in his native South Africa.

He said at the time that despite the attacks on him in Jewish communities, he does not regret agreeing to chair the investigative committee.

"I felt that because I was Jewish, it would be hypocritical not to get involved in the Middle East," he told Eldar, explaining that he was a Zionist, but did not intend to visit Israel any time soon, for reasons of personal security. He also said he was saddened by what he saw as recent attacks on Israel's democracy, including bills banning criticism of the Israel Defense Forces.

Goldstone observed that Israel has trouble taking criticism, but said he still hopes the government will conduct an open inquiry of the events in Gaza, adding that the country has distinguished justices and reputable lawyers who can lead such an effort and put an end to the affair.

Goldstone himself:

“The allegations of intentionality by Israel [documeted in my original report] were based on the deaths of and injuries to civilians in situations where our fact-finding mission [in Gaza] had no evidence on which to draw any other reasonable conclusion. While the investigations published by the Israeli military and recognized in the UN committee’s report have established the validity of some incidents that we investigated in cases involving individual soldiers, they also indicate that civilians were not intentionally targeted as a matter of policy.”

my emphasis.

.
"as a matter of policy" Means the boots on the ground were not hunting any specific individuals, if it moved it was fair game or did those 400 explanations not absolve all IDF troops of war crimes? From the air could have been a different set of parameters, hit the designated target no matter who appears to be around.

The Judge is acknowledging the final say on the matter as determined by the UN, all 400 acts were the way civilians can expect to be treated by any military force sent in against them, no matter where and nobody will even be in the wrong.

Part of the definition that Israel uses to define terror is just being in fear of attack is terrorism. I wonder how many times the Judge felt that personally since the report came out?

I don't have anything to retract, I said Israel would be found innocent after their first round of explanations, and now they have been, officially. Wonder if the Judge feels like that Indian from Sask (who passed away recently) who ran afoul of the Jews and they haunted him for the rest of his life even after he apologized. They aren't any different today if that is who you admire, ... that is who you admire. In the last few days Israel's leader proposed a 3sq mi harbor, rather than far out to sea pick it up in Gaza City and do enough to open up a harbor/ airport just like they wanted but mostly on land. Perhaps the saved money could include a sorting facility on Cyprus and manned by some members of the UN Security council, past or present, say one indigenous to the area to do the sorting according to a list compiled by Israel and the UN. That was Gaza City is only served by specific boats and all containers have been packed by military staff and sealed so if the seal is intact it can be moved to distribution centers without delay.

Is the 3 mile island their opening bid in Gaza getting it goods via a different, more efficient route, and one that remove the 'blockade' label even if it is just an illusion. A 3 mile island that far out would be for loading natural Gas, taken fron Gaza's 'economic zone' as defined by the UN in 1847. Works for me .....

Mr Goldstein is just bring his views up to date, one that follows the UN's view of the 400 points. In hindsight his first assessment was in error. What else would you want him to do? Israel is already after the UN for more concessions, no surprise there, that is the way liars operate. Imagine what it would have been like (for him) had he not been a Jew himself. Which would you find more important, your son's graduation ceremony of the deaths of 1500 people that are 'strangers'?

His view was based on his view from a judges viewpoint, mine is from a moral point of view. That is why I can say the ones who planned Dresden are just as evil as any Nazi. Knowing there are not going to be any war crimes prosecutions doesn't alter my view that if cast lead is the best option you can come up with, then admit is also the act of people that are morally bankrupt.

I also said cementing a well was a war crime when the IDF is protecting the Jews with the cement. That didn't get prosecuted either. Are you going to claim that wasn't a war crime?

The list was the first info out of some of the events that went on, even then the details were scanty at best. Certainly the only that got posted here was the flour factory (as far as I am concerned) My objection is it is still in ruins, as is most everything else. That is totally planned and it doesn't endear them to me, I would say sorry but I have nothing to apologize for, to you or to the rulers of Israel.

That's not what you said when you claimed victory, using the Goldstone report, as your ammo.

Were you wrong to believe it supported your opinion, when it was released, yes or no?

Goldstone retreat on Israel leaves a field strewn with casualties | Full Comment | National Post

Trouble is, Goldstone, a former South African judge, didn’t really go that far. In fact, he said Netanyahu’s government was to blame for his adverse findings since it failed to cooperate with his inquiry.
It never seems to cross the legalist’s mind Israel had good reason to be nervous. How could he imagine his report — commissioned by the discredited UN human rights body, whose leading lights include Israeli foes Libya, Cuba and Iran — was intended than anything other than a hatchet job? At worst this makes him a co-conspirator, at best a hapless dupe.

So those other countries could plot something that would make Israel pound Gaza for a month in the hopes that the UN would prosecute for war crimes? That's pretty intricate, you sure it wouldn't be better to pass that off to OBL for flawless execution.

Is the UN Human Rights Commission Anti Israel - A simple question - so a yes or a no will suffice.
