This is all a two edged sword. On one hand we have too many people on the planet putting too much of a strain on resources and polluting the planet causing mass extinctions of thousands of species and on the other people living longer and death rates dropping in western youth. Disease is nature's way of keeping balance and we have upset that balance. We cannot have our cake and eat it too. Something is gotta give and humanity is due for a mass die off to balance things out. It is already started. What pisses me off is that it always seems to happen in poorer countries.
