Let's keep the tinfoil hat theories about the elite out of this thread and stick to reality please.

A bit of a dichotomy isn't it? The tinfoil hat wearers are the ones that believe Canada's version of Правда, the historic champion news outlet of all things Liberal. BTW, Alberta doesn't have a carbon tax yet. And Why do the Territories get special treatment? The capital of the NWT used to be Regina. The climate in Northern AB, SK, MB and ON aren't really much different than NT and Nunavut.

Obviously most of the money in the territories is federal government money .

It's the typical "do as I say and not as I do" scenario. We're children being led to the slaughter while they fill their pockets!

Tides was founded by George Soros the most evil, corrupt individual ever! As a multi-billionaire, he has destroyed economies and currencies of countries for his own benefit. The Rockerfellers are of the same ilk.

He is NOT a nice man so obviously, funding the anti-pipeline and anti-oil in Canada in some way MUST mean there's money in it for him to do so. He is hailed as a philanthropist but that's just his public façade; he's a man who destroys.

I cannot believe that CRA would allow any organization with ties to The Tide Foundation and any other entity attached to them any charitable status. We're then funding organizations who would love to destroy this country.

JMHO

I seem to remember George Soros being allied with Canada's own late Maurice Strong, former advisor to Kofi Annan, former president of Power Corp., and who, upon his death was credited by Adrienne Clarkson as having invented the environment.

There are colder places that have lower emissions, so just sit down and come back when you're ready to leave the kiddy table.

Canada just did something (else) awesome that the US should copy

(CNN)Nearly everyone who studies climate change policy agrees on one thing: To fix this monster of a problem, governments need to put a price on dangerous carbon pollution.

Carbon pricing can take a few forms, and it's not a cure-all, to be sure.

But it is generally considered by climate wonks to be the cheap-but-effective "holy grail."

That's why the world should applaud Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's decision this week to implement carbon pricing across that country. It's a move the United States should copy, too.

It's not as cute or heartwarming as when Trudeau welcomed those refugees, perhaps.
But it should be seen as just as noteworthy.

Why wouldn't improvements in efficency be more effective?
