Good God man can you drop it for one friggin' day? or are you that juvenile???

Look, I get that having your hypocrisy pointed out bothers you but, that is entirely your issue. Try not being a hypocrite. That my help you with your anger issues. It would, after all, be alot easier then arguing against the points made regarding your selfishness.

That raises an interesting question. Does your selfishness make you crotchety or is it the other way round

With the cost of living in Canada is high. While I look forward to retiring and hope that we've saved enough to live reasonably well, the cost of living increases each and every year in addition to the various governments insisting that we pay more and more in taxes. It makes it pretty scary to think of what the future holds.

I suspect that the Liberals will eventually bring in a tax against personal property so that when you sell your house you're going to be nailed. It's just a matter of time. Otherwise, why do they ask on the tax return if you sold your personal "exempt" residence and if you did, what did you buy at and when and what did you sell at. I'm thinking they want to determine how they can go about taxing the difference otherwise, why the questions? I would refuse to answer and simply say "no" even if I did sell. It's none of their business. Oh I'm sure they'll say it's for "statistical" purposes but I, quite frankly, don't trust them at all.

Much like the gun registry was just a precursor to confiscation.

You talking about Putz? A little suggestion for the future Pete............when responding to a post reference your post too it. Sometimes three or four other posters jump in between. In Putz's case the reference is generally pretty obvious. Poor F**KIng Putz!

Some people have been collecting pensions their entire lives without contributing one single penny under different names like welfare.
You're wrong about government pensions though. Partly you left a bit too soon to get on the gravy train and in the wrong department. Bureaucrats all get solid gold pensions as do school board and municipal employees.
My ex managed to retire from the school board after about 26 years at 61 without tapping into CPP.

I fully agree as far as elected Gov't bureaucrats go, but regardless of who they are is it the individual collecting it or the system at the time that should be blamed? As far as I'm concerned personally Avro (the impersonator) is talking through his hat! He speaks as if he has my personal records. His use of the word "unique" is laughable. Unique means "one". He's an idiot! :)
