I'm amazed at the number of Canadians who support those imperialist war mongers, but hey! That is what makes Canada great.

As for executing gays being OK with the UN, we gotta long way to go, baby. I guess the world is not as civilized as we thought.

Have you ever wondered why you can be so impassioned by your misgivings about the US, yet flippant in regard to the rest of the world?

the "misgivings" by the U.S are vile and numerous. no other country in the world comes close to being as evil and corrupt.

Yeah Right.

Troll.

First of all, this thread is NOT about the United States, as they voted AGAINST the resolution.

Second of all, they had NO misgivings about their vote.

Thirdly, the United States is a free country, a democracy.

Fourth, If the USA is "evil and corrupt", so is Canada, as we are allies, brothers, almost dopplegangers.

No. We have much more to fear from the retarded adolescents with bloody big guns living next door than we do from all the other retarded adolescent nations living in the rest of the norther hemisphere.

Entirely irrelevant in this discussion.

Have a look here to see how this conversation is actually framed.

Whatever "vile and numerous" misgivings the United States may in fact have, they are not, in fact, relevant to this discussion; the United States is miles ahead of many other countries, when it comes to the rights of gays and lesbians. As I mentioned previously in our discussion, there is certainly progress that remains to be made; and this is true for most countries, to varying degrees. The fact of the matter is that the United States, in the context of this discussion, is one of the good guys.

The United States declared, with its vote, that executions on the basis of being gay should be condemned.

Like how Russia was once an ally and brother?

I would have chose a different word than doppleganger....

In fiction, folklore, and popular culture, a doppelgänger (pronounced [ˈdɔpəlˌgeːŋɐ] (
listen)) is a tangible double of a living person that typically represents evil.

I responded to someone who brought up the U.S, and you're right Canada has historically been in favour of the USA's evil and corrupt activities.

Thirdly, the United States is a free country, a democracy.

Lmao. How do you still believe that? I could understand if you were a misguided teenager still learning about the world, but you aren't.

Wow, been we've living next door to each other for well over a century. Have we always had to fear them or is this just something new?

More like 400 years but who is counting?

Well I apologize for the math I wasn't around for the other three :)

Considering that the USA is 229 years old and Canada is 142 I'm not sure where you get 400, but that does not answer my question. When did the threat from the USA become so dangerous?

It was irrelevant to the general topic maybe but not to what I was replying to, perhaps I should have quoted the message in the reply.

It couldn't have been more obvious

To you maybe, but I generally regard your posts as juvenile, so I don't sweat over them all that much.

You remind me of a kid in a room full of adults talking politics. The mouse that roared or some crap like that.

I guess if you grew up a tad and formulated an opinion that was more mature I might.

Food for thought and oh, thanks for the comeback.
