I am not a Trump supporter - by a very, very great long distance. Nevertheless, I entirely agree with him on this subject.

What the players and some owners have done is idiotic. They are basically setting up a vicious dispute, and pitting themselves against Trump, the national anthem and the flag. Is that supposed to be good for business?

Attendance was down last year, and so was viewership. And the number one reason given by those polled several times is this political crap, kneeling and disrespecting the national anthem.

The poor schmuck who pays for those expensive tickets wants to be taken away from his dull life for an afternoon, away from the crap he sees on the news, and focus on cheering his team. And what these players are doing is jarring him back to politics and the crap he wants to forget.

It seems the players and some managers, have forgotten what they get paid for. It's not to win football games. It's to entertain. And if the fans are raining boos down on you, you are NOT entertaining them.

I expect this kneeling to spread, and I expect attendance to drop further, as well as viewership, as well as the purchase of sports merchandise. I also expect that when someone takes a poll it's going to turn out that about 70% of Americans agree with Trump. This stunt is going to cost the NFL big time, and if the NBA players start it's going to cost them too.

I and most of the vets I know feel we served the Constitution, not the flag or the song.

Including the free and robust exercise of the Bill of Rights.
