AnnaG: True, plus if they can get here and step on land they automatically are granted asylum and eventually citizenship. I do not think any other country in the world is given that privilege.

Senior Iranian envoy quits in disgust over regime’s brutal ways

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6990433.ece

A veteran Iranian diplomat based in Norway has resigned his post, denounced his government and urged colleagues around the world to do the same after the regime’s brutal suppression of huge opposition demonstrations last month.Mohammed-Reza Heydari, Iran’s consul in Oslo, is the first Iranian diplomat to publicly quit and condemn the regime. He revealed that it sought to lure him back to Tehran after rumours of his defection surfaced last week. At the time, the Iranian Foreign Ministry insisted that the rumours were baseless.

Right on the heels of two assassinations. Didn't your handlers let you know to lay low for a few days, what with that incident with Turkey and all. Really do you agree that the Representative from Turkey (singular) was made to sit on a low sofa while the Israeli's (plural) goons were given higher chairs ect. (I would love to post the whole description for you) Speaking only in Hebrew was a classic touch, really ..... Bet your bottom dollar Israel just lost big time, Turkey might not be all powerful but she has many friends.

Didn't get that info on my feed.
Are you going to follow the trials? Don't ever get charged with being and 'enemy of the earth' as it can mean death.

Well change your feeds -Do the research - trials in Iran is a contradiction in reality itself - when they have been charged as enemies of God - Guess what happens - Rope selling goes up.

US raises tensions with Iran by selling anti-missile systems

Tensions in the Gulf between the US and Iran are set to rise further after it emerged that American-made anti-missile systems are to be deployed to Washington’s Arab allies in the region. The Obama Administration said yesterday that it was speeding up arms sales to a number of states and that it had also deployed warships in the Gulf as defences against possible Iranian missile attacks. The moves, which include the sales of anti-missile systems to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, are being made to deter Iran from launching attacks against its Sunni Muslim neighbours and to send a message to Israel that a pre-emptive strike against Iran is unnecessary

Want to check with the odds makers in Vegas on whether they are really defensive or offensive weapons systems? Iran's S-400 defensive system pretty much took the option of American or Israeli manned warplanes off the table. Can you imagine the disaster if the small nukes malfunctioned before getting out of friendly territory. More than likely cause a chain reaction down the whole ammo depot. That would put a dint in OPEC's output.
Didn't the UN protect Kuwait the last time she was invaded by old-what's-his-name?

MOSCOW, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Russia's state arms trader declined to say on Thursday whether it would go ahead with the sale of S-300 anti-aircraft hardware to Iran, but made clear it did not view the systems posing a threat if Iran obtained them. The possible sale of the S-300s, which could protect Iran's nuclear facilities against air strikes, is a sensitive issue in Russia's relations with the United States and Israel, which have pressed Moscow not to proceed with the deal."I just don't quite understand why supplies of the S-300 system to Iran trouble you so much," Anatoly Isaikin, the head of Rosoboronexport, replied after being repeatedly asked about the deal at a news briefing."This is purely a weapon of defence, not attack," he added. "This weapon cannot pose any threat to any neigbours, close or distant."Russia is under intense Western pressure to distance itself from Iran in the dispute over Tehran's nuclear programme, but has refused to rule out the delivery of the S-300 system. In Jerusalem, an Israeli official told Reuters Russia had yet to ship the S-300's "main systems" -- such as radars and interceptor missiles -- to Iran.Analysts say the S-300 could help Iran thwart any attempt by Israel or the United States to bomb its nuclear facilities from the air.

MHZThe Theological Thugs are executing more innocents - Perhaps you shoud listen to the CBC - The Current - Interview with an Iran -Canadian Journalist - But then again is the CBC to far to the right for you?

Nine more dissidents will be executed soon, a senior member of Iran's judiciary declared today, as the regime stepped up its efforts to deter another huge opposition rally planned for next week. The regime is sufficiently worried that it has ordered state television not to broadcast the usual historic television footage of insurrection on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution that toppled the Shah, lest the scenes incite today's opposition to follow suit.Last Thursday it hanged two men for allegedly plotting against the regime - a move condemned internationally but praised by Ayatollah Ahmad Janati, a hardline cleric , during Friday prayers in Tehran. "May God not have mercy on those who are lenient with the corrupt on earth," he said. "There is no room for clemency. It is time for severity."

Iran president Ahmadinejad accepts nuclear deal terms

Iran says it only wants nuclear power for peaceful purposes

Iran's president has said it is ready to send its enriched uranium abroad for further enrichment under a deal to ease concerns about its nuclear programme.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told state TV that Iran would have "no problem" if most of its stock was held for several months before being returned as fuel rods.
Correspondents say that such a decision would be a major shift in Tehran's position.
The US said that if this was a new offer, it was "prepared to listen".
Last month, diplomats said Iran had informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it did not accept the terms of the deal and had instead demanded a simultaneous exchange on its territory.
The US and its allies fear Iran is attempting to develop nuclear weapons. Iran insists its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful.

Yes I saw this too. But the sticking point is the turn around time. Iran says they'd agree if they get their fuel back in an enriched form in 5 months.

DOHA, Qatar – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that Iran is becoming a military dictatorship, a new U.S. accusation in the midst of rising tensions with Iran over its nuclear ambitions and crack down on anti-government protesters.
Speaking to Arab students at Carnegie Mellon's Doha campus, Clinton said Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps appears to have gained so much power that it effectively is supplanting the government.
"Iran is moving toward a military dictatorship," she said. "That is our view."

More saber rattling by the war mongers. The bully needs a good kick in the gonads. Hillary has no credibility. She is just a bleached version of Rice.

Do they let her ride in the back of the military transport plane with all the illegal drugs. First she goes to Haiti so whacked out she can't get off the runway (what fashion show did she think she was at anyway) and now once they get near Afghanistan her starts acting like some Brooklyn bitch strung out on smack.
In the 'best lie contains some truth' theory the above actually means America is headed for a military dictatorship.
Didn't Mena show you anything???

It already is. Those who still think it is a democracy are delusional.
