And Yes, War is coming. Right, wrong or indifferent, Europeans will not tolerate, along with the Us of being in Teheran's cross hairs.

Will it be Isreal alone, doubt that - US, Frenck, possibly British but it is coming. And all Teherans has to do is open it up, stop enriching. get rid of long range missiles. and the West will come running to their door with Security Guarantees. I would hope they take that choice.

Gotta Love WikiLeaks at times

WikiLeaks reveals nuclear secrets of both NATO and Iran - The Globe and Mail

Still, the U.S.-Russia meeting found ample common ground over concerns that North Korea appears to be actively engaged with Iran in exporting weapons systems and possible nuclear expertise.
A U.N. report accusing North Korea of exporting banned nuclear and missile technology to Iran, Syria and Myanmar was sent to the Security Council earlier this month.

“This just confirms a lot of the rumors and reports about the capabilities of the North Koreans and gives more credence to those who support a defense shield against Iran,” said Theodore Karasik, a regional security expert at the Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis in Dubai.

Independent defense analysts say the possible acquisition of longer-range missiles fits into Iran's step-by-step claims of being able to reach farther from its borders. A year ago, Iran said it successfully test-fired an upgraded version of its Sajjil-2 missile with a reported range of 2,000 kilometers, putting Israel, U.S. bases in the Gulf and parts of southeastern Europe well within reach.

The range of the BM-25s parent design — the submarine-launched Russian R-27 — is about double: 4,000 kilometers, the memo said. That covers Western Europe, Moscow and much of Central Asia.

Such a missile could give Iran the ability to carry much larger warheads and give technicians the ability to study and copy an advanced propulsion and guidance systems — all key elements if Iran ever seeks to develop a nuclear arms program as some Western leaders fear. Iran, however, says it only seeks reactors for energy production and medical research.

It would not be the first time Iran has relied on North Korean missile technology. Iran's Shahab-3 missile, first displayed in 1998, is based on North Korea's Nodong-1 design.

But the American claims, if true, could mark the first delivery to Iran of a fully operational and state-of-the-art North Korean missile.

''Yes, War is coming.''

Impose a 100% excess profits tax and we won't.
If Obama lets Iran go nuclear there will not be a Democrat in the Whitehouse for 20-40 years. A nuclear Iran is more of a threat then N Korea.

The US Fuked up in the Stan and Iraq. Lets not try for 3 fukups in a row.

And why do taxes always come to mind for Democrats?

''A nuclear Iran is more of a threat then N Korea.''

A threat to who?

Why is it that war profiteering and warmongering are so near and dear to the hearts of Republicans?

How many in the Mid East will - All of them. Is that to difficult to get thru your war profiteering mind and simplistic view. I doubt it.

Israel, either directly or (more likely) indirectly through Hezbollah or Hamas.

As well, it seems some Arab countries kinda wish the USA would fight their battle for them. The Persians are not well liked........

I don't believe anybody should have them but as long as the US insists it have them, I think everybody should have them to protect themselves from US aggression.

Lacking a smiley or laughing avatar I guess you really believe what you just wrote?

Actually, I wrote that almost a year ago, but yes, I do believe there was no smiley face intended. The United States of Aggression are the biggest terrorists around and are responsible for all those poor misguided pin heads who think it is honourable to blow themselves up in public places. It is hypocritical to demand others not have what you have.

I grew up in the era of hiding under your school desk in order to kiss your ass goodbye when the air raid siren went off. I don't like nukes, we don't need them and anybody who thinks they should have them is a raving lunatic. But if one insists on being a raving lunatic, then they have no right to demand that nobody else is.

Oh BALONEY!

In all seriousness, that comment is so far out there that I simply can't give the piece more consideration than that!

Good question, and an exceptionally tough one........

There is an Iranian democracy movement that would be burned badly should Iran's nuclear facilities be attacked.............that would be a tragedy.

But our ally Israel is under dire threat from these loonies.........

Do the Pilate thing, I guess, wash your hands of the decision, let the Israerlis decide, but give them all necessary assistance either way.

Not at all satisfactory, but allowing nuclear-armed Iran is looney.

Wasn't looking for approval from anyone. That is how I see it.

The Israelis are just as nuts as the Iranians and although there are some who think it is politically correct to support them come hell or high water, I think they don't deserve our support any more than the Iranians. I say, stay the hell out of any fight involving loonies on both sides. Actually, stay out of any fight not involving protecting our own soil and sovereignty.

Why are GoldmanSachs and CitiBank so desperate to get into the "enemy's" pants?

Anyone with a brain knows that as soon as Iraq stopped selling oil in US dollars the war paint came out in Washington. The real reason for the past 7 years of blood.

Iran did the exact samething at the exact same time.

The only things worse than lies are the idiots who fall for them.

Great, Thanks!

Yourself?
Not bad considering its 4:30 am and I'm awake. Lots a snow here but mild.

For a long time I thought it was only BCers who were politically mentally challenged, but after a few years on here, I see it is epidemic everywhere. People cling to the idea they still live in a democracy and that somehow people who we have bombed back into the stone age are insane for rejecting our offer of democracy and the American dream (nightmare). They can't seem to see that there is no difference between a terrorist that bombs from 2 miles up, in the comfort of an F16 and some poor schmuck who plants IEDs or straps on some dynamite. They can't seem to understand that war is about profit and not some altruistic idealism to make the world a safer place for them to be mindless consumers.

Other than that, I'm doing great

It is indeed a nice morning. It's snowing here too (still). It makes things quiet.

Epidemic or sociological and intellectual purges? An epidemic is something natural. This isn't natural at all komrade.

Yes, the idiot box has been a wonderful tool for dumbing down the masses. Nations of sheeple thinking they are special because they were told by their slave masters that they are special. Warms the heart, don't it?
