Hooray for the free market system and good bye to small farms and hello to factory farms usually American that will gouge the Canadian consumer and more money for food not necessarily for the farmers.

The CWB was dismantled before the depression and brought back when the Canadian farmer was losing market share to the Americans.

More farmers are growing more specialized crops and ethanol crops just because there is more money.

The Canadians will just have to settle for Chinese agriculture product that is grown with not so nice stuff.

Ya right, they can sell to who they want to now, funny how the farmers are mostly all for it.You should have paid attention when you went through SK while living in Alberta unless you flew and that would explain your ignorance on the CWB

Yeah right the farmers voted on it and voted to keep CWB but the Conservatives never listened. we will have to wait to see how well the Canadian farmers do especially with another drought still happening.

According to the ag report yesterday,sk and Alberta crops are doing better then average.
Sounds like there's going to be a HUGE market for grain trucks right now, sorry CP.

So far it looks like a bumper crop for most of Saskatchewan and Albertan grain producers, while drought conditions continue to worsen through most of the American midwest.

$Ca-ching! $$$

It's no bumper crop. Good but not stellar.

It's not a super crop, but I think in general, producers are quite pleased with the crop," he said. "We're quite optimistic that with conditions carrying on, we'll have some reasonably good production." - Grant McLean from the Ministry of Agriculture.

I just spent a few days at a farm in East/Central Ontario. The corn crops for many miles around are poor to disastrous. Rain is a stranger.
