Do you ever wonder what color God and gender Jesus are?

It's not Sammy Davis is it? I LOVE Sammy Davis...I love his version of Isn't that a kick in the head.

I actually have not thought of the Candy man for a long time. I did not realize he was Jewish.

There are lots of black Jews from Ethiopia. Many migrated to Israel where European Jews discriminate against them.

We certainly love to hate. Have you noted that many of the world conflicts are really old grudges.

We have long memories when it comes to hate.

I don't know who started the hate against the Jews but I for one am getting tired of the same old hates popping out of nowhere.

Strange to think that Jesus might have been just as black as the Ethiopians.

People cry for change yet will not change their old hatreds.

A canister of ashes from Auschwitz doesn't really count.

You are an anti- semite.

Is being just Jewish the same as being a Jew? I'm tickilish but not a tick.

Ah, god is the same colour as light.

I'd wager most humans that believe in a Higher Power, a God, a Spirit, a Magic Man or whatever, simply go about their lives and believe their thing and stuff.

And I'll assume we're not getting all nutty and yapping about the complete zealoty radicalized peculiar citizens either.

So why do any of you give a sh!t what they think or believe. Why do you care. What business is it of yours?

You gonna go on an away mission, visit a bunch of locales, walk the streets and tell these folks they're wrong?

Maybe get yourself a real hobby, a job, a wife or whatnot. Keep yourself busy. Try being productive.

That sorta thing.

Live and let live.

Because really, it isn't any of your business.

How come this philosophy about letting other be only applies to religion? How come it doesn't apply to other beliefs?

well the thing is everyone here seems to have an opinion...they may not like what others say but isn't that why we are all here...to give an opinion....seems to me that's what discussion is about

maybe discussing is their hobby, maybe that's what keeps them busy...maybe that is productive. no

far as I'm concerned when people start hurling insults they need to take a break

you know, go have a coffee....talk to another human being

Who says it doesn't? There are dozens of beliefs I find completely daft, for the most part I keep it to myself.

But there is something really polarizing and altogether aggressive (for some) about the belief in a higher power/being which, for the vast majority of those who hold the belief, it's an inner peace thing, but they get caught up in the melee.

Fair enough, I don't necessarily disagree but, just to toss something else out there, what if the initial opinion offered is itself insulting? Emotion and emotional reactions are a part of the human condition, I expect some things to get heated. Personally, in my opinion, it's when they get overly excessive that it becomes a true problem.

Imagine how the world would look if we never corrected each other. We would still be in the trees.

See the thing is, it's not up to you, or anyone, to correct anyone else because it could very well be you who is wrong. Anyone who doesn't at least contemplate that is not being truly honest.

well if the initial opinion posted is insulting then stay the f*ck out of the thread...I don't care how many OP's people do on the net...I am just reading the ones here...like why is that even relevant

I don't open half of the politics ones any more because all they are is a circle jerk back slap put down on anyone slightly left of extreme right

are you saying I should just go in and keep disrupting those threads because they are irritating to me and I can't control myself?

It is up to all who have a social conscience to try to improve conditions on this earth and morality is a big part of peaceful co-existence.

I contemplate my opinion every time I post anything to do with anything but especially moral issues.

Now please have a look at that long post of mine and tell me you would not correct the African man torturing a child because he thinks witches are real because his bible says they are.

Tell me you would not correct the Christians who paid to have that kill the gays bill enacted and that tell them that gays do not deserve to die because they are told they should by their bibles.

Tell then you are acting as their own bible tell you to.

Proverbs 3:12
For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

I find it a delight to correct evil actions and thoughts. If you or anyone else here does not, then why not?

God no! Why would you think that's what I was saying? Lol. I was mostly putting it forward as a question but also because I do think there are things that should be stood up to. One person's disruption is another's standing up to/for/against, etc.

I didn't mean anything by it, suggestive or otherwise. I was taking something that caught my attention and, you know, trying to continue a conversation on it. Won't happen again.

I guess you will have to because I am doing what the system asks and you see the results.

You are right that we all have the right to be wrong.

That was not the issue.

The issue was that anyone with a decent moral sense and a social conscience will correct those who have a right to be wrong in areas where they are hurting others.

For evil to grow, all good people need do is nothing.
