Do you ever wonder what color God and gender Jesus are?

I never had the pleasure of conversing with your mom. You however take a stance that 95% of the planet is somehow delusional because they have faith, then you deserve what you get.

95 % of Fins claim to be Christians yet only about 4% ever go into a church.

To say that most who claim faith are lying, --- would be a truthful statement.

Do you ever wonder what color and gender God and Jesus are?

As a Gnostic Christian, I believe that God is within each of us the way Jesus taught so I see God and Jesus as my color.

Is your mental picture of God and Jesus also seeing them as your color and gender?

The question was prompted by my conversation with a black person who thought Jesus was black.

I thought that someone would speak to the issue of Christianity doctoring that information just as they did with a lot of the original Christianity.

Jesus may have been made white just because too many white Christians hated blacks. Remember that Christians also tried to take the Jewishness and Jewish beliefs out of Jesus.

Here's an interesting tour of images of Jesus through time.

FP, when you post a video just take the (s) out of the link and it won't bleed your threads.

the s is about security and for some reason it isn't compatible in here

the other thing is that the person who's put the link that has HTTPS doesn't see how it screws up the thread.

I've done it, briefly and it just didn't show the video screen, but the rest of the thread looked ok.

so FP, you may not see how it screws up the thread, but take our word for it. IT does. Big time

Do you regard going to church as a necessary or sufficient condition for faith?

Wow.

No. But when you see 95 % of the faithful not wanting to visit their God's home, so to speak, then we can know that most are lying.

They fly the cross and if God is busy making rainbows while so many starve then he is quite the prick.

Thanks for this. Nice research.

Seems that the further back the paintings go, the darker Jesus gets.

My black Jewish friend may have been right and the whites just did not want us to know that Jesus was black.

OK, let's reiterate. You say that going to church is not a necessary nor a sufficient condition for demonstrating faith, but those who do not go to church do not have faith.

Yep, that's the kind of logic I've come to expect from religion.

I have seen the system duplicate the link but that is all.

I did not see the bleeding spoken of but will adjust what I do.

Your twisting of the logic is what I expect from the religious.

Jesus said that we would know his people by their works and deeds.

That 95% is not doing works or deed and are not supporting their church.

If you cannot keep up to that logic, it would not surprise me.

People, as that clip showed, follow tradition, culture and fashion. They follow an inherited God and not one they chose. They have chosen to ignore their inherited God. I do not blame them as that God is demonstrably an immoral prick.

So, your thesis is that not going to church is not doing works and deeds? OK, I'll buy that. Why the hell not?

If you cannot keep up to that logic, it would not surprise me.
Well, it's hard when you say that church attendance is not a necessary condition for faith, and then say that church attendance is a necessary condition for faith.

People, as that clip showed, follow tradition, culture and fashion. They follow an inherited God and not one they chose. They have chosen to ignore their inherited God. I do not blame them as that God is demonstrably an immoral prick.

Why did you even have to mention the color of his skin?

Oh silly me... you're a racist that's why you had to mention the color of his skin!
