And wonderboy is doing a fine job putting all those unemployed back to work.
And I see he also has the debt and deficit under control.
No Americans fighting abroad under Obahma either.
So many bougie men there machjo.
Did I ever defend Obama? For cryin' out loud, even before he won the presidency I'd already mentioned in this very forum that he was a mini-Bush.
As for creating jobs, I there is only so much the government can do. However, if you just give a man a fish, you're emptying your pocket books with nothing in return. Ideally you want to teach him how to fish so that he can eventually pay you back. As far as I can tell, Mini really hasn't done much by way of job training for the unemployed (but correct me if I'm wrong on that count).
Add to that that borrowing and spending, though it might create jobs in the short term, is by no means a stable proposition. If he absolutely had to raise spending, he should have raised taxes first.
Also, no job creation ought ever to be about jobs alone, as a be all ad end all. I get the impression that Mini decided just to bail everyone out and waste on 'shovel-ready' projects just for the sake of creating work in its own right. That's just stupid. instead, by let's say spending on job training for the unemployed, he still would have created jobs for teachers and and other spin-off jobs in publishing, construction, etc. while also preparing the unemployed for the upcoming economic boom. Should you look back at my posts soon after the economic crash and before our governments bailed out the banks and auto industry, I was vehemently outspoken against it in this very forum, and thought Mini's proposal was a big mistake.
I'm all for government job creation if done right; this was done in a totally disorganized, ad-hock, and unplanned manner with little concern for the long-term impact.
That said, I'm pretty sure Palin would be even worse for the national budget. She'd slash taxes and skyrocket military spending. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what that leads to economically.
Better to visualize this truthful picture:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
''You got that right. If she came to power, there would be jobs for every unemployed American... in uniform fighting abroad.
As for the debt, inflation, and wealth, well, that's another matter.''
Oh you didn't know?
Repukeblicans can do no wrong!
Please don't make this a right vs. left issue. Just as there are fiscal conservatives on the right, we can also find economic happy-go-luckies on the left. Unfortunately, both Palin and Obama would represent the economic happy-go-luckies on both the left and right in that they both wanted to waste billions on bail outs.
Make no mistake about it: Obama himself is merely a Mini-Bush.
