It kills the roots too.
Dandelions are your friend. Wine from flowers, salad greens from leaves and a medicinal beverage from the roasted roots. Add roasted Chickary root to the mix and you have a viable coffee substitute. Consume your dandelions. They are good for you. A weed is just a plant you haven't figured out how to use.
Juan and I live in the same city. The City has developed a by-law. They have banned the use of any pesticides period and even banned many fertilizers. I live in an adult community where the lawns are becoming noticeably more "weedy" than previous years. Everytime I take my dog out I spend about 20 min. pulling weeds.I bet, wherever it is that you live, there are bylaws in place pertaining
to noxious weeds, etc...& with a complaint, the City/Town/RM will come
out.....clean up your neighbours yard...& tack that cost right onto his/her
property tax bill.
A thousand dollar bill to have 1/2 a dozen government employees in
his yard with weed whackers for a few hours might be a wake-up call
for buddy's right to his crop of weeds that are infesting your lawn.
Maybe out in a field or pasture. I don't want them in my neighbourhood.Dandelions are your friend. Wine from flowers, salad greens from leaves and a medicinal beverage from the roasted roots. Killex works great. Buy it while you still can. Once one City starts passing out by-laws banning such things, others often join in.Really - Did not know that. Thanks

KIllex never worked for me, so I would be very careful and use Roundup. It alsways used to piss me off though, that I would be dandelion free and one neighbour never cared, so BANG! a couple weeks later there are damned yellow blossoms all over the place...
I let them grow, then pick them when the leaves are at there most succulent.
A little salt/pepper, dijon, balsamic, really good EVOO, accompanied by some other veggies, and you have a nice salad.
My lawn never turns yellow.
Yeah, I've tried Killex on dandelions- absolutely useless. The best way is to dig out the root with a screwdriver. From what I hear Roundup is a little too thorough, it kills everything.
I have a Sh!tter named Daisey. But she goes under the pines. Where Daisey goes, nothing grows.you don't have a dog then, lol I have to make sure we walk the dog before he ventures around
the lawn.
Killex is great if used right. You have to put it on so that it works it's way down to the roots. That means digging in a little. Little to no point in spraying the flower part. I know that digging them out is more successful once they are well grown but if you get them reasonably early, all you need is the Killex and a dry day. I don't use Roundup unless I want all growth in the area to die.Yeah, I've tried Killex on dandelions- absolutely useless. The best way is to dig out the root with a screwdriver.
