10781 Long Term Care residents in Canada have passed from COVID19.

June 29th 5,324, was the reported number of long-term care deaths in Canada. Why wasnt the focus shifted back then? This is disgusting.

Maybe they should start wearing masks and washing their hands?

If this keeps up we are going to have whip out the Nuns.

BTW numbers are as of Nov 15 and came from a CTV broadcast with Sandi Rinaldo.

From this AM and this is only Ontario

How Ontario's second wave of COVID-19 is hitting long-term care

One in six homes is currently battling an outbreak, more than 250 residents with COVID-19 have died this month

Despite promises of an "iron ring" around Ontario's long-term care homes, the second wave of COVID-19 has brought hundreds of cases and deaths among their elderly residents.

More than 100 homes are currently battling an outbreak of the novel coronavirus among either staff or residents, according to the latest figures published by the Ministry of Health.

So far in November, the deaths of 255 long-term care residents with confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported by the province.

With an additional 545 active confirmed cases among residents, and experience showing as many as one in three people over age 80 who contract the virus succumb, there's fear that hundreds more will die before a vaccine campaign rolls out in Ontario's long-term care homes.

"Families are scared and they're angry," said Vivian Stamatopoulos, an associate professor at Ontario Tech University and advocate for long-term care residents.

"Precious" goes without saying so what would be the point of bringing it up as it's probably a fact recognized by 95% of the population by now!
Yes isn’t she so precious , getting her full salary and all that television face time . Pretty easy to shut down others means of employment while enjoying a full salary . Don’t worry this bankruptcy is for your own good .

"Yes isn’t she so precious , getting her full salary and all that television face time ." - You really are a twit, eh? What doctor doesn't deserve his/her full salary? She gets T.V. face time because she's explaining something to an audience! British Columbians are lucky to have Bonnie Henry providing her time for advice. Do you deliberately go out of your way to look stupid, or are you just stupid? :)

Has she ever mentioned its mainly people in long term care who succumb?
Almost daily, there's a mention of several folks in L.T.C. Does it really matter, it's not only about them but family and friends and besides I'm not sure they want to die any more than anyone else? Quite a few young people are dying now including a 10 year old child in Penny Wig.

1.5% of those who've died weren't in long term care.

To add data 2.99825436% of 401,000 cases in BC have passed. Of 2.99% how many were outside of long term care homes? 1% or less in BC.

How closely have those figures been checked?

She is starting to talk around that a bit and is slowly acknowledging that fact . The odd uncomfortable questions are starting to filter through , JLM will eventually start to notice .
